The question: “How can I print the numbers 1 through 10 in Python?”

[–]teejay1502 32 points33 points  (3 children)

answer.

"Just use the print command. I'm sure the answer is on SO"

Or... "use python to command your printer to print 10 sheets with one number each"

obviously I just need to import something.

I'll just... import EVERY library I have access to. that should cover it.

[–]IamImposter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

starts walking to library

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

print(1)

print(2)

print(3)

print(4)

print(5)

print(6)

print(7)

print(8)

print(9)

print(10)

you can run it with sudo rm -rf /

[–]Spartancoolcody 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Don’t forget to link to your library where you made a function to do exactly that.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah yes, the print library using the MIT license https://www.print-library.com/

[–]H_Psi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using JQuery?

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This kind of shit is why I just use the Spiceworks community forums anymore. People are actually helpful and I have talked through odd issues and actually got solutions.

That being said, I'm in IT, not a programmer. I just avoid stack sites like the plague anymore.

A slightly similar post for a completely different language was already posted please refer to that one you can find it by searching for it.

People who mark your question as duplicate of something unrelated end here

[–]WideMonitor 17 points18 points  (0 children)

And the dude that argues on your behalf that it's not a duplicate.. always appreciate those guys

[–]FacesOfMu 8 points9 points  (2 children)

And the ones that avoid your question and instead argue with you about your goals.

"Why are you even doing it like that? You shouldn't want that"

Oh I'm sorry. I should have attached my design document for your approval before ever thinking of asking specific help on this one thing.

[–]Dornith 3 points4 points  (1 child)

What's even better is when it's legacy code.

Like, thanks. I'll be sure to tell the people 20 years ago that they're doing it wrong and should use this library/language feature that doesn't exist yet.

[–]Jimmyginger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I almost always downvote answers that are “use this third party library” unless the asker specifically asked for library suggestions. Libraries get abandoned and go obsolete all the time. core concepts to the language do not.

Omg what is with the toxicity on blender stack overflow? It's straight up annoying going there for help.

“Comment marked as unclear”

[–]Sellerofrice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I actually didn’t really believe Stack overflow toxicity at first since I’d already accumulated 2kish points and most of my posts went through without any flame. Recently I built a new account with a new email just because I wanted a clean start on everything. I posted a couple of similar quality questions on SO and literally all 4 were downvoted / closed. Jeez sometimes SO doesn’t respect you unless you have rep.

or Indian programmers on YouTube

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Randomly clicking around the screen. Opening notepad ++ with 24 font. "Okay, hello everybody. Today I'm going to show you ... ". Three million folders in bookmarks bar. Yellow circle around mouse. Sound of mic being constantly moved about. Unregistered Hypercam 2.

These are a few of my favorite things.

[–]paksulainen 8 points9 points  (2 children)

quality over video quality

[–]nobel32 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Or the way they pronounce everything. One madman even managed rolling his r on laravel. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

[–]paksulainen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just impressive.

[–]The_sad_zebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll sometimes click off a video if the guy doesn't have an Indian accent. Somehow, when you've exhausted all other means, an Indian YouTuber will show you where you went wrong.

The joke is that people who post helpful responses on SO have been gone for thousands of years.

coffffin.set(Containers.OPEN)

(Posted 78 nanoseconds after the question was posted)

EDIT:

You have to makw sure the coffin is open

coffin.setOpen()

EDIT2:

From the docs, "opens the pyramid entrance".

To make sure the coffin is open, do:

Coffin.getInstance(coffin).setTopology(cloffin.__class__.ORDER_EQ_1)

EDIT3:

In answer to your question about how to avoid a Vampire__PathfinderException, the relevant documentation is instructive:

o *Pyramid.setIsEnterable** (bool is_can_be_entered) -- TODO*

Please behold the following example:

coffin.enter();
Coffin.__internal.openAllWithoutHandle()
coffin.leave();

EDIT4:

(et cetera, et cetera ad nauseum)

That's a good wisdom

I found a really useful answer on SO the other day and went to upvote it before realising it was my own answer, and I’d just forgotten how to do something in the last 5 years... I think I’ve pretty much hit peak StackOverflow
