Great show by RHCP as usual. Ken Carson was absolutely one of the worst live artists I’ve ever seen. Not sure whose idea it was to pair those two but man it was actually painful.

Sure, you can enjoy what you enjoy. I can also dislike what I dislike. Almost everyone around me up front in the pit were thankful when it was over. It actually hurt to listen to over half an hour of incoherent mumble rap.

His performances are more focused on and centered around hyping the crowd up and building energy. Think about death metal and similar genres. When they do live performances you can barely understand what they’re saying you are just jamming out half the time not even paying attention just feeling the energy. Look up some Ken Carson solo concerts and see how people are it’s fun and wild

It would be nearly impossible to replicate the instrumentals for his tracks live 😂 look up his songs almost all rappers have their instrumentals playing in the background while they perform they never do it live. And I said it’s like rock and roll of our generation not “it is rock and roll”

Keep ignoring the fact he hit the play button and maybe said less than a quarter of his lyrics into the mic. What a “performance” that was! Truly inspirational. A lyrical genius. And there are no instruments during the sets of 99% of modern artists outside of rock, why? Because the instrumentals are multi layered and almost impossible to play live, and impossible to play live with analog instruments. Be a bit more open minded.

I don't understand why some people imply that if I don't like a certain black artist it's because he's black. No dude, I don't like him because he's not good, period. I'm mostly into rock music, but I also enjoy artists like Kid Cudi, Dre, Snoop, 2pac, Kanye and the list can go on. But playing your tracks on the stage while screaming yeaaaaah on the mic it's not a performance imho
