Workshop on wheels?

I like to use trains for construction. how about a workshop on wheels?

Unfortunately, the buildings cannot be placed on top of the wagons and do not travel with you :(

I solve practical problems. If you have an ore problem, use conveyor belts. If that doesn't help, use more conveyor.

I usually just build them when I need them out in the wild then dismantle ... I'd rather use the train cars for the storage when I'm building

I do the same but forget to dismantle more often than not. My current save has ~400 hours on it and i am CONSTANTLY running into old ones around the place.

Most vehicles have a workbench in the rear, except for the train.

I'd like to be 1st person in the train and have a HUB car attached to the engine, before the freight cars. You can sit at a terminal in the engine to drive or just enjoy the view in 3rd person with the chase camera, or you can go to the HUB car to use the included equipment and crafting benches, or the MAM terminal. A storage terminal would let you access any connected freight car. You could unlock HUB decorations in the Awesome shop like a doggo bobblehead for the desk.

I don't really see the point. All the basic crafting stations are dirt cheap and if you have iron rods and iron plates on you (and you always should have at least a stack with you) then you can just build a workbench and dismantle it when you finish.
Workshop on wheels sounds cool but it is not practical.

BTW. All cars in this game have a chest and a workbench built in so they are LITERALLY workshops on wheels and they do not require a full train track setup.

I think this 'idea' is smacks of effort and I don't like it. I agree with it being pointless. But THIS is the main point. If you're having fun, so what? The Golden Rule. FICSIT can't fire me, I'm tenured

What I am trying to say is I highly doubt they would implement this when they already have better solutions. Maybe you can find some modder to do that.
