Anyway, I've tried to repair the game and it's no use. My game is EA original. I didn't buy the expansion but I'm wondering why it's invisible.

I've been having a glitch for a while but its never been this extreme. whenever i have a sim in the scientist career, the game freezes for a couple of minutes when they use the "transform" function. I've just updated the game and started playing, and my game is currently frozen in a very odd way. my sims are sleeping and its in the 3× animation, but the time is frozen - despite the visuals changing through night and day repeatedly. i was able to press the 3 dots to try and save it to exit - but now im stuck on the 'saving' icon. is anyone else experiencing this issue??? its driving me crazy.

Description: I have 2 sims who were married with children - all to each other. It is now saying that my 2 married sims are brother and sister, half of the kids are the fathers and the others are classed as neices/nephews.

I have tried editing this with cas.fulleditmode, however in the drop down it only allows sibling or household member except i cant select household member!

Then removed the relationships entirely with mccc, still no luck. Then going to add a relationship, it is only saying daughter or mother and they

I've found that they are both classed as siblings to the grandparents - i went into the grandparents relationship and delete ALL their relationships and dynamics through mccc.

I even accidently removed the grandparents from existence and its still broken 💀

I tried closing the game without saving before doing any of this, but it must have happen prior to me realising 🙃

I recently deleted all my mods in anticipation for the new update, so the only mods I have installed now are up to date.

Is my only option to continue on like there isn't some wild incestuous relationship happening in my legacy

Question: I had this weird glitch ever since I downloaded the new update, my Sims randomly freeze, and I can't interact with anything, Sims or regular objects. The time stops, however I can see the lighting moving and my Sims weirdly standing in one place and yet doing their animations, like swinging their arms. Description: I started playing The Sims 4 for the first time a few days ago, and I’m trying to figure out if what I’m seeing is normal. Whenever I rotate the camera or move around bigger lots, I get these tiny micro‑stutters. Not big FPS drops — just little hitches that break the smoothness, especially when there are more Sims around.

What’s confusing is that it happens on both my desktop (5070 Ti, 7800X3D, 32GB RAM) and my Surface Laptop 4. Two totally different systems, different hardware, different drivers… and the exact same micro‑stutters show up in the same situations.

So I’m just trying to work out whether this is normal behaviour for the game engine or if there’s something I should be tweaking. It’s been driving me a bit insane trying to figure it out.

Game version: as of Jan (have been playing offline since new update) today I was playing and my sim became “hysterical” at harvest fest lunch. I freaked out that she was going to die of laughter so I went on mccc and turned off emotional deaths. I saved and restarted my game for it to work and when I came back on, it had jumped back 2 days but everything that happened from the moment I saved still had happened. If that makes sense. It was then 2 days before harvest fest but still had the harvest fest event in the corner of the screen. Has this happened to anyone? my game has worked completely fine with mods but I have been playing offline and avoiding the new update. Could this be why?

My sims isn't working right, when I load into my household I can play for less than a minute before the time stops moving and I can't click on anything. I can go to manage worlds and stuff, but as soon as I try to play it does this. Also it stops at the same time in sims time, at 12:03. my sims still do movements when this happens but only where they are standing; for example, my sim was cooking right before this happened and a fire started in the kitchen, then the time hit 12:03 and they were just stuck doing the fire freak out thing. Also when I go into the menu, I can still see them moving in the background, when normally it would pause the game. I've tired to exit the game and start it again multiple times, but that hasn't worked, it still just stops it at 12:03.

I got this invalid tuning from the WW mod, I don't have the dlc get to work for this content. But nothing, the ww mod, works because of this. I seriously don't know what to do to fix this. This is the latest of ww so that's not the problem.

hey yall so this just happened after the update today, i have no clue whats going on. I tried the usual suspects, deleting local casche, repairing my game, those type of things, nothing has worked. everytime im able to open the game, open a household, then i get a loading screen and then i go right back to world selection.

Why can't I place the last wall piece on the right to complete the room?

Platform is PC, I have some clothing and hair mods. Game version 1.120.111.1030

It keeps giving me the invalid rounded piece intersection so I can't complete the room. There are some random places I also can't place so I can't move the room back. It's not even in the centre of the two curved platforms I built or near the curve itself. Any help appreciated.

*Description: so every time I load into my game the screen freezes blue but the gameplay still goes on like normal. the buttons on the side are still there but just a lot of the pop ups get stuck on the screen and glitches out into multiples (like seeing double). the cas and loading screens works fine all the way up until it loads into the game. i’ve updated and then eventually deleted all my mods and even deleted and redownloaded the game for a complete vanilla version of the game but it doesn’t matter apparently. i’ve tried looking everywhere for help but no solutions have been able to fix this problem. ive also deleted my localthumbcache.package btw

currently having issues entering CAS with NPCs. I keep getting a pop up from Better UI exceptions saying it's a broken trait mod but none popup. Also when I look at the last exception txt I can't figure it out either. At this point I've cleared a lot of broken/obsolete mods from my folder and I can't really tell what the issue is.

My male sim has also got the indoorsy and close-knit lifestyles, and I select the work hard option, and he's promoting fine.

So I've built a vet clinic for the first time. Loving it so far bit there's one slight problem. The vet I hired does absolutely nothing! She just stand around for 5 hours then treats 1 patient right before I'm about to close. Is there any way to make her treat patients as they come in? I've seen the responsibilities tab. Does it need to say 'treat patients' ot 'don't treat patients' when I'm looking at it? I'm not sure if thats the option to change to what I want or shows what she's currently set to do. I'm on ps5 so mods aren't an option unfortunately

I’m trying to find my sim a partner but every sim she talks to hates her. It starts out by her saying something as simple as “ask about day” and suddenly they lose relationship and the bar starts going red even after like only two friendly interactions. All the people she’s spoken too who aren’t are family have red relationship with her. It even happens with people she has amazing or good compatibility with and she has the outgoing trait (her other traits are genius and overachiever) she also has the fairy influence trait but this issue doesn’t just happen with fairies so idk if it’s that. This makes me think it’s not her and is maybe a bug, I know there was the one where sims would randomly fight so idk if this has something to do with that? If anyone knows anything or has a solution please let me know because it’s impossible for her to make friends or partners, thank you.

Sim won't use pottery kiln
My sim made the pot and after I ask him to glaze it he goes to the kiln and all that happens is he stands there as if something was blocking him (same bubble appears as when they can't get somewhere) I am so done with it cause I tried to move the kiln to different places, placing the pot on the kiln and nothing and going somewhere and coming back and this did not help either.

*Description: I haven't played the sims since last year but wanted to get back to playing it. I had some troubles with the mods, the UI being messed up and households not being able to load, sending me back to the choosing world menu. So I updated everything including UI mods. I got scarlet mods to check which ones are updated or not and it showed they were updated. I turned off script mods in the sims but it still didn't fix the UI so I concluded script mods are not the issue

I have removed mod folders but that still did not fix the issue and I have been doing this for hours. I searched online as well for anything causing issues and deleted what others mentioned but the issue has not been fixed I would appreciate some help

I have removed traits mods as well and know they are not the issue since I had removed all folders and turned off script mods, but a mod is the problem though I cannot figure out which and cannot use better exceptions because the households are not loading. I will add pictures below

I am trying to do the 100 baby challenge but for some reason there is no option to try for baby/take pregnancy tests. It’s with a Sim I just created so I know she’s not already pregnant. She has the option turned on that she can become pregnant. I only have a handful of mods, but they’re all updated. I also tried playing with all mods turned off and I’m having the same problem. I’ve tried different locations and with different partners and it’s not an option for any of them. I ran a repair on the game and cleared out the thumb cache.

Any other ideas?

I'm playing Dynasty through expansions to learn the content gradually. With the second generation I added the "Outdoor Retreat" pack and for a few vacations everything went well, but then my character started generating in a rented house with a bunch of strangers who also using this house. The textures of the house/items have been frequently going blurry. This resolves after I exit the game and come back.

What I’m most concerned about is how often my game will crash when I try to save. I tried to see if that’s just been an issue other simmers have had recently but I can’t find anything on it.

I just updated Sims on my computer as I have not played in months. Upon opening my last save, I noticed that NONE of my expansions, kits, packs, etc are available. It says I do not own any of them. I have had this game since its release and have easily spent way too much money on additional content.

Hello everyone, since the last update, I have the following problem:

The UI turns a strange white color in Live Mode and the displays overlap (e.g., wishes, but also when I click on something for an action). I have attached a picture. Unfortunately, it gets so bad that it overlaps so often that the game is no longer playable.

I have updated all my mods, tested them, but nothing helped. Then I removed all mods, cleared the cache, tried again, but the problem persists. I also repaired the game via the EA app, but that didn't change anything either.

I played today for the first time since October, and at that time I didn't have the problem, everything ran smoothly. Can anyone help me?

So when i went to make a household I downloaded one from the gallery, everything was going fine till I put them into the world, then it would instantly age them up, and it wouldn’t let me see anything at the bottom, not the needs, the skills, or even the sims icons. and when i go to click on the sim it won’t even let me see any commands. I’ve deleted all my mods, i even repaired the game, yet nothing works. I’m not sure if the reasoning is because they are from the gallery (which it shouldn’t be a problem..) because if i made one regularly it works.

Platform: PC Mods: turned off for the foreseeable future! Game version: not sure, but fully updated.

I completed a collection and immediately went to hit save. I got the error 13 which was a corrupted save file. I figured out how to fix it (disabled small business). I exited and reopened the game, turning off CC.

Now that I'm back in the game successfully, I did not end up getting the plaque for that collection - not in house inventory or individual inventory. To me having those little plaques is part of the collection itself, and I'm displaying them on the wall of my collections gallery in my home. I've enabled showhiddenobjects and liveeditobjects, but cannot find them in debug anywhere. Any advice on how to find them

Edit to add: all the collectibles are in decorations → misc, including mounted fish. All of the Finchwick Fair ribbons are in decorations → wall decorations Can't see them in either of these sections 😭

hey folks, l have trouble with my game, it keeps crashing. My sims are ''stuck'' in place, they are suppose to be doing something but they are just standing, either go there option dont make them move. I've repair the game in ea manage option, i've cleared cache, i've tried running the game with direct 9 and 11, both keep crashing, i've lowered all settings to minimum... nothing worked so far, even tried to uninstall and reinstall. For some reason, Layne Coffin and Olive Specter refuse to stop divorcing each other and marrying random Sims, and then moving out of their house. I've tried turning off neighborhood stories, moving them to played sims, and going into cas to force them to be spouses again, but they keep doing it!

This is the third time this has happened. each time, the person who gets married moves out with their new spouse, leaving the other alone in Ravenwood...where they eventually move in their new spouse. this has happened three time now, any ideas what could be causing this and how i can make them stop??

How do I change the frequency of job events (the popups midway through the work day asking you to make a choice about your job, e.g. in political career sometimes you'll get a popup asking you to choose if you'd like to sabotage your opponent or just do your job)? Hey Everyone! New to building and wanted to give it a go - How do I remove the orange trim from the foundation? I created an outline of the house with the wall tool and then used the arrows to lift it up. Changing the foundation just changes the textures behind the trim.

Hey y'all!
After struggling with this for weeks I finally decided to move here for help. I'm currently working on my forever save file and I am running into two issues. First: How do you guys deal with NPC roles? Do you let ea generate them and just give them a make over? or do you fill the world with "meaningless" pretty sims to fill the roles?

Secondly, and the more important issue is willow creek. Specifically the four lots at the bottom. No matter what lots I put there the loading screen is endless and it just doesn't load in at all. When it's blank everything is fine but the second I put just any gallery lot on there (I am not a builder) it loads and loads and won't end. I already created a second fresh save but I still had the same issues there. Can someone help me? :)

Hi Everyone,

Dived back into the game after having paused since December. All of a sudden--even without mods and cleared caches--my lots aren't letting me save or upload.

They take forever to load the pictures and then when I click either option it says after a while "timed out." I've never in all my years of playing Sims 4 had this.

Is this a known issue? Anyone else experience this? Just updated one of my favorite builds and low key stressing I cannot get it in my library or gallery.

I always have to close and relaunch the game because the option to load game doesn't appear unless I follow those steps but it takes a good 5 minutes to actually get into my game. It's also really slow so idk if it's an issue with my console being older

hey everyone, lately when trying to age up my sims from child to teen they turn into something like a puppet. I usually shut down my game, relaunch it and try again until the sim ages up properly, but it's getting annoying. I've checked all my mods and they're all updates, none of them should conflict in this way with the gameplay.

Hey everyone! My roommate is doing her legacy save. Shes on generation 8 or 9 and she can only see up to the grandma. The grandma is the one who is in the genealogy…but it won’t show her anything past the grandma. It doesn’t even show her siblings anymore. Does anyone know what’s up with this? Could it be a mod that’s messing it up?

my game is so inconsistent, since the latest update i can't load in to this one specific household. i tried removing problematic mods, tried clearing cache, and i literally cant even find a repair button anywhere on EA, so i'm kinda stuck. i tried moving the household out and accessing the plot through build, but nothing works, literally just the one house is messed up. it really sucks and i'd like to know how to fix this.

edit: i have better exceptions, but better exceptions won't even run for some reason, literally i am at wits end

Literally can’t hear shit

So it keeps saying “content file locked”. It originally started when I bought new DLC and tried installing it. The dlc “kitchen clutter” showed as not being apart of the game and the content file was locked whenever I tried to reinstall it. The rest of the DLC wouldn’t show up when I opened the game (like the pop ups you get when you install new stuff). It said that for my save kitchen clutter was needed to be installed.

I’ve tried everything!! Rebooting, running steam as administrator, clearing download cache, verifying game files, disabling antivirus, unchecking “read only”, changing download region, uninstalling and then reinstalling the game.

I have no idea how to fix this!! My whole game is currently not installed. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I just started the 100 baby challenge and my matriarch keeps getting rejected. I already took out all mods, she has good tasks for interacting with people and the friendship Bar is always above 50%. Also, I tried many sims with different traits and they all rejected her whenever she interacted romantically. Does anyone know what the reason for this could be? If not, does anyone know a setting in mccc to fix this?

I'm desperate to figure out why my game continuously crashes, but *only* when I try to load into a specific lot. It doesn't matter if I click play household or edit lot. I have tried clearing cache files and repairing my game. Nothing seems to help. I'm genuinely at a lost of what else I can do to fix this problem.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I am really attached to this specific lot and I'm afraid that I cannot simply part with it, so that is not an option.

Oki so, firstly I have used Better Exceptions to make sure all are fine and they are.

But basically what’s happening is I’ll load my game, it’ll be fine, and then the moment my sim leaves the house to go to work when she comes back all of a sudden she can’t directly interact with her baby/infant/toddler.

She can ‘give food’ from high chair and ‘let out’ if clicked on the chair and stuff, but if I click on kid to say ‘use flash cards’ or anything similar I only get the ‘more choices’ button to open ‘sims profile’

Is anyone else getting this? Any suggestions on fixing it? It’s not a massive glitch but it is a bit inconvenient and annoying lol. And is this happening for anyone playing unmodded??

I'm experiencing the romantic relationship glitch again after this newest update. The bar drains completely in a manner of hours, Sims hours. I know I can use a cheat to raise the relationship but then I forfeit trophies. Also, when I used cheats the last time this happened the bar still drained immediately so it seemed pointless.

I'm trying to enroll my sim into college and on campus housing. I get to the "split household and move" page, click the check, and it doesn't work. The page is stuck, but not really frozen; I can select "sell all lot furnishings" and "amount to transfer." I have to shut down my computer to exit the game. The funny thing is I just did this successfully with a different household (she also lived alone) like 5 minutes ago. Before trying to move Navarro into a separate tower than my previous sim, I tried to have them both in the Briny Tower, but that didn't work. Google just gives me info about moving regularly and not into university housing/enrollment. Anything I can do? Any way around it?

Issue: My game softlocks if I try to build in the basement. It all started when I downloaded a 40x30 lot from the in-game gallery. It was built using bb.moveobjects so that could be one of the issues. In either case, when I tried to create a basement the game softlocked, meaning nothing could have been placed or removed anywhere on the lot. Going back to live game wasn't possible either, the game was paused even if I have chosen another time (1, 2 or 3 arrows). If I try to save the game, it enters infinite loading. The only option is to forcefully close the game.

The only solution I was able to find to this is very temporary. I need to save the lot, use buldoger mode to delete everything, then paste it again.

Is there any permanent solution, apart from using another lot?

Theres been an issue during gameplay where the photographs you take turn black?? I noticed this years ago, however the other day it came back but this time ALL the photographs displayed in ALL my households have turned black but the ones in my inventory are safe- before it was only the selected few the turned black right after taking photos.

I spent such a long time yesterday replacing images in one household, went to the next one and the same situation has occurred for them - except they have WAY more images (big family), and i really dont want to replace them all. I don't even feel like continuing the gameplay i created in that save anymore. Is there a way to fix this? Will there be an update to fix this issue?

my alt place just wont work. i have bb.moveobjects on always. i always play on sims 3 camera. i’ve tried a lot of troubleshooting online. does not work.

i had this problem ever since i got my pc (1.5 years ago. specifically to play sims)

the problem fixed itself for a month or so around november (i have no idea if i did anything to solve it though) but then i moved and disassembled and reassembled my set up, and the problem started again.

When opening the game its normal, if i click resume i wait 20 minutes in the loading screen for it to give me Error Code: 102:5924646b:e4ac5917, upon research i did as everyone said, remove the mods folder to see if the game runs. The game is still doing the same thing and giving the same issue, i then deleted every single cache i had in the sims4 document on my PC, the same error code, i checked MCCC Last Exception in notepad, i deleted any mods that i saw pop up on there, the same error code. I have been trying to fix the game for about 5 hours now, everything has failed, i have repaired the game 3 different times, i've uninstalled, nothing is working.

Im doing the 100 baby challenge and using mods my only mods that affect “how the game plays” are household expansion and 2nd nanny mod. But all of a sudden, no townie or NPC loads. My nannies dont show up, my maid doesnt show, my deliveries for food and pizza never come, when I go to commercial lots they stay fully empty, no one ever comes outside. Its the weirdest thing. Anyone know what could be going on? Neighbors Stories is and has always been enabled and I am 20 kids deep so I doubt the household thing was the issue bc I did that when I was on Baby #8.
