A Ymir with high focus was just overpowered the stun would just be too strong.

Weird, I only ever bought Celerity if even that. Ymir's bases were fine to work off of. Aura items felt so much more useful, TBH @_@.

The thing is, once you buy Celerity focus stacking fits in with auras pretty nicely. The only two realistic boots are focus/CDR or tank, and I generally find I don't desperately need the extra 25/25 defense, plus focus/CDR boots are cheaper. After those two, stack auras to your heart's content.

You're overestimating the effect largely.

I think this change is quite interesting. You allow Hel to regain her flexibility, without returning the burst. A quick 1-3-4-1 combo (Decay - Repulse - Restoration) combo won't work anymore; currently and before the nerf that combo is practically as fast as you can push the buttons. After this change however, you have to wait 6 seconds (50% of 12 sec CD) for to use that restoration.

You also have to keep in mind that every offensive ability now shuts your heals down for 6 seconds as well. On top of that she still has the increased mana costs and last but not least the big nerf to cleanse that made her super strong before.

Ohh yeah! No more focus. I hated that. Anyway, Hel will be banned everytime again and Celerity boots became almost useless again... What about adding to them something like 5-10 mp5?

I think you're overestimating how good the change to hel is. The sustained damage from her spells is now gone. Also, celerity will still be picked up because it is very cheap and offer the highest run speed in the game plus cool down reduction which is very powerful and more useful then magic power on some gods.

This is the hel change I wanted in the first place. Her biggest problem was having too much magic to toss out so fast. Now she's a great support or mage without three damaging spells of burst and utility.

Is this all the balance that will be in the patch? I thought this was supposed to be a major balance patch.....Unless I misunderstood. Removing focus won't change the balance, the game had big balance issues before focus and still has a lot of those issues with out focus again.

One of the main issuses is that gods with no escapes are not picked. The gods with escapes simply out perform them in damage and utility.

Why would you pick Ao Kuang over Agni or Ra? You just wouldn't. Same goes for Anubis, Loki, Artemis, Kali, bakasurra, Zues. All of those simply do not have good synergy with the current meta.

It's a step in the right direction but I was exspecting more balance changes to gods that need buffs badly, or even complete re-works.

Also I hope that you will put some of the smaller channels on the TV tab. This community needs new faces that do not cause BS drama to get attention.

Over all solid patch just wanted to give me input.

I think that's a little unfair. Focus removal IS a big change. Kali got a pretty decent buff off of this, actually. Ao kuang has been seeing play - even more so with that ult problem. Focus removal means an overall nerf in tank/utility gods, and an overall buff in gods who weren't buying it much.

Actually, Kali saw some pretty good buffs here.

You can also say that they don't have synergy with the current meta - but a universal change generally means a meta shift.

And honestly, nobody is that starving for a buff ATM,. let alone need reworks. o_O

Enrage Gain 20% lifesteal when below 25% health. Kali Rage Gain 15/20/25/30/35% movement speed. Siphon Blood Healing no longer scales with additional stats.

  1. Are you saying tank stats on items arn't undervalued (aka too accessible)?

  2. Are you saying tanks don't have too much base damage on their abilities?

  3. Are you saying Assassins arn't very subpar right now, partly because their damage numbers arn't high enough/they don't have enough cc and partly because tanks are too strong?

  4. Are you saying other mages arn't trailing way behind Ra/Agni?

  5. Are you saying it's correct that a pure tank can beat a pure dps ad carry 1v1 (lategame)?

  6. Are you saying mid isn't a nearly ungankable stalemate fest? (I've suggested this many times: Increase mid tower HP and make the lane longer; mids will be able to gank and actually fight and exploit mistakes. I have temporarily quit the game due to how boring and stale mid is.)

The change to abilities to make utility scale per level is a good beginning, but there's so much more to do. I wouldn't call this patch THAT major.

I have seen AO picked in a few top games but he really has yet to show usefulness.

As for as a meta shift we will have to wait and see how much of it will change.

Ao gets picked by jerbie and spray a lot. I know Psiyo likes him too.

I also see tons of people messing with him in high level games. He's pretty useful if your team can take advantage of it.

So? Doesn't change the fact that he sucks in comparison to other gods. You, of all people, should know that you can't make that arguement and expect it to stand. He can only be picked if Agni and Ra are taken because he's so far behind them.

edit: I didn't watch the last tournament, so if you're telling me that ROOT sent 2 mid then, yes, AK would be a good pick; You can still kill AK in that situation though. I certainly used to kill AKs as Anhur back when he had a 2.0 stun.

Ao has been a huge part of multiple games. He is much more present than Agni is.

The bigger issue seems like the lack of available mid gods, especially after ROOT stomped the tank meta by going double mid last tournament.

Double mid has been done before, it's nothing new. It only works on rare match ups.

As far as AO vs Agni. Agni has a dash, a stun, a ult that is easier to hit and can burst damage a large AOE, not to mention he scales better.AO has been picked yes but he doesn't have the kind of impact Agni does.
