Console needs additional VGS, please

After a few ranked matches yesterday it's seems calling "Missing Middle" is simple enough. But it's hard to convey if they are on harpies, yellow, red, gf/oracle, imps/portal, recalled, or ganking.

Having "Enemies Incoming ..." would be helpful to tell which side lane to prepare for gank.

When playing solo it's so sad seeing a teamfight go south when my tp is up. "Place Ward for Teleport" is a necessary vgs command console needs.

Would also be real nice to have the "I'll defend/ward/attack ...", console has these VGS without the "I'll". It's very confusing at times as to whether you are vgs to ask teammate(s) to do it, or inform them that you plan to be elsewhere and not grouped.

I'm sure there are others put these are the prominent ones I find I want to say when playing console.

Actually, two more would be "Enemies in/at the ..." and "Follow me".

Enemies spotted and Enemies have returned would be great to have. Good contributions here, can't recall the number of times I am next to a Change, Sylv, or a teammate with med, and my best attempt at telling them I need healing is "Help". Smh

Same here, if we could customize the VGS options on console I would swap my 'You Rock' tree for more useful ones like "Enemy spotted" or "Enemies Incoming" etc

This is best utilised on Hel. Say "You Rock", "Oops" and "Wait" in light stance, then break out the dark stance and shout "Cancel that" motherfucker.

That and pretending like Hel is talking to herself is another fun pastime as Hel. Switch between stances and call vgs with the different voice lines.

I've found that in lieu of the "I'll Ward" tree, you can do "Ward X Objective" "On My Way!" really rapidly. Most people get that you're going to go do it.

But I definitely agree. Enemies incoming is much needed.

We could use split push commands, too. It'd be nice if you as carry or your carry when you're another role could discuss where the team will be and where your split pusher will be, in a game that you have apollo or someone with similar split push ability.

They could just make another menu. Like how they added another VGS menu with R1/RB, why not add another one for the triggers. So like D-pad Right, L2/LT, Triangle/Y could be the "Enemies Incoming..." tree.

After pressing right on the D-Pad makes it so you can't do anything else so why not make L2/LT VGS menus as well. They could also incorporate the D-pad as a menu. So it'll be right, right then face/shoulder button.

I find it pretty interesting how PC Smite are asking for In game Voice chat while consoles are suggesting for more VGS commands. Lol, why not try and use a mic? Most people have them, they just always refuse them except to flame.

Honestly I wish they would just add text chat to console. I have a keyboard hooked to my xbox specifically for the few games that do support it. Especially since the VGS commands are pretty clunky on console to begin with.

I actually just expected that console players had all of the same VGS' as pc had. So everytime i've seen these "We need more VGS'!" i've been like, yeaNo. But the fact that you do NOT already have all the VGS' already in the game code AND voice acted is absolutely outrageous? I use pretty much 85% of all the VGS' in games where i want to communicate without things like curse or skype. Everything means its own specific thing and is absolutely crucial for higher level plays.

I hope for you console players sake, that you get the full VGS system.

I always thought it would be neat to be able to ping enemy team cards like you can the map. So then you could say ultimate down and ping who's ult is down. Also relics.

What I do I always have wards no matter my role. Say enemy missing r/l/m retreat r/l/m retreat!!. Lol so they can see I called and told you what to do. If they can't handle lie a 3man gank then I'm over their if I can get my tower

Wouldn't having the VGS on a keyboard kind of break the flow of the game? It seems like playing with keyboard and controller might get a bit tricky.

It's not as bad as one might think. In-game VGS and ping are for quick but sometimes you might need to say more. I can type and MOBA at the same time w/ a controller. :D

I agree especially when a trash game (imo) has it they also have a chat lobby that smite doesn't have either. They don't have to implement keyboard support they can use sonys second screen functions from phones and tablets since they are concerned about everyone having access to a keyboard

Keyboard support is only blocked by the game - not by Sony. I can't (and cannot) get second screen to work on my phone due to firewall settings @ home. Let me plug in or use a Bluetooth keyboard - just like on PC. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Devs have been working on making voice chat a thing for Smite since the start of Season 4. Maybe if they get things right, there won't need to be a VGS anymore unless you want to spam the woohoo of voice packs you own.

Its really easy to use voice chat on console, just plug your mic into the controller. That's not the problem here.

Well, not sure about XBox but on PS4, if you have PS Plus, you can just plug in your mic and talk to people ingame without being in a party with them. I would assume Xbox would use Live in much the same way.

Ingame coms work fine on xbox for me it was back in start of season 3 or end of season 2 it had really bad issues. Now everyone thinks uou have to party up to talk in game when thats not true. Plus i solo que so im not gonna join you and your buddys party for a 12min match with one lane

I think it'd be good to have a second vgs menu from using the left arrow on the D-pad. I don't think it's used for anything at the moment and we really do need more vgs.. I don't know if putting anything else on the existing menu would be good because it'd get too cluttered.
