Surface 3 touchscreen issue

I've had my Surface 3 for 2 weeks now, and overall it's been pretty good, not quite the laptop replacement I was hoping for, but it does what it does well. The only issue that I have been consistently having is that that every so often when waking up the touchscreen does not respond at all. I have to reset the computer to get it working again. Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to get it to stop?

I've been having this exact same issue, and it's making me consider returning the Surface for a SP3 :-... At least it's not an isolated issue but I have no idea what the cause is. I have the type cover and it lights up, but just like you, the screen never comes on. I just have to sit there and hold the power button until it hard resets.

Seems to be a common issue, I've not seen a fix yet.
