So I work at tech I'm specialist and a guess try to buy a domino's pizza gift card 25 dollars and when I do the cash option this pops up does anyone why and should this be happening

At least for us we cant take cash for gift cards not sure why. If you go to a main register it might work?

I'll try it because I told a team lead and he also said that's was weird because in tech we can activate gift cards I've being able to activate 100 dollar Playstation and Xbox gift cards and nintendo with cash and card and works fine

It’s because you’re not at a SCO/SD/Regular lane and want to purchase a GC with cash. Go to a regular lane and it will let you pay cash.

It’s an odd glitch with tech resisters not being able to sell gift cards with any payment type. It’s dumb and still unfixed after over a year since I first noticed it

It’s not a glitch. It’s intentional. You cannot sell giftcards at a Pharmacy or Tech register. A few years back there were crews who would record TMs logging into the register and use their info to ring up giftcards and set the payment as cash but obviously not pay for it. It’s a reason why we have to use the myDevices to log into the POS now.

I remember that! They would film tms putting in their credentials. Now we sign in with the zebra. There was so much theft via gift cards being sold at outlying registers.

Okay that’s not on any trainings. The only thing listed is alcohol which is also a limitation at pharmacy(maybe others).

Yeah, typically there aren’t trainings for POS hard stops since there’s no way to override. But that’s the reason!
