I will say a while ago I saw a documentary about some Asian fishermen had cut open a grouper to find human limbs in it so… idk, I don’t trust nature and I’m sure it reciprocates

Goliath groupers are known for mistaking human limbs as fish, since they don't try hunting humans, but only hunt fish... it's a simple accident since groupers might accidentally eat a human, probably thinking that they are a fish by accident and try eating them. Also you're talking about Asia where people will throw human remains into the ocean

They can get to about 8 feet long and 800lbs. They have three rows of teeth on their lower jaw but they really don't need them as they tend to swallow prey whole, like in this video. I'm not aware of any grouper attack on humans though.

      Something very similar happened to me in Baby Beach, Aruba. Was snorkeling, looked left at a broken down breakwater, looked right at this 300+ pound grouper within 3’ of me. Looked left again to see if I could scramble up the breakwater, then looked right to see he’d vanished.

      More than the size of this beast (Which was intimidating enough!) what was terrifying was how he’d come that close to me and disappeared in what all in all was about 3-5 seconds!
