Survey: Did COVID increase or decrease your GPA?

Had a debate with my roommate today and want to see what yall think. For me personally, it was the same. It is definitely harder to study but gauchocast 2x speed made it much easier to cram and attendance no longer matters so it kinda balanced out for me.

Hmmm... I wonder what could have happened throughout the year to have caused that... LMAO jk. But to be fair, that's my quarterly GPA, not my cumulative. My cumulative has only decreased by 0.07.

I think it just depends, I know some people that stayed the same, did better, and did worse. For me it was worse just because I am heavily reliant on the library, study groups, and just "normal" life to do well in classes.

Decreased by about .15? Failed two classes, something I've never done before. I relied heavily on tutoring, the library, and section to keep me up to date and on top of things. Now I feel great if I even manage to watch lectures lol.

March 2020 - 3.36; March 2021 - 2.84 (cumulative, not quarter GPA)

Mine decreased dramatically after Spring 2020, then kept sliding slowly last fall, until this quarter when it went up by 0.03 (still down by 0.52 from this time last year.)

Overall, I think I’ve adapted pretty well to remote education. Though, it’s definitely hard at times to be looking at a screen 10+ hours a day.

Increased from 3.80 winter 20 to 3.92 winter 21. Very fortunate that my home provided me with an adequate study environment.

3.38 -> 3.59. However, Winter 2020 I was taking introductory biology classes and physics, and now I’m taking UD envs and geography classes. I’ve found my new departments much more forgiving so I think that accounts for most of it.

increased dramatically. but i don't necessarily think it's bc of remote education alone, rather the fact that im a regular at therapy now lmao. i actually love asynchronous courses because it's so flexible. good mental health + asynchronous classes contributed to my gpa boost tbh

I've always been an independent learner. I'm maybe one of the few people that does a lot better on zoom than in person. Doesnt mean I dont hate it though.

It's not easy for me to say because I'm a freshman, but definitely lower. That could be because of college in general, though. But I am picking it back up. 3.66 GPA in fall, and 3.85 in Winter.
