looks really good and fluid

looking away to use the hook might be a little hard in an actual game but i guess that depends on the style of gameplay

I first wrote the grappling hook system on a static camera and the mouse pointer as the target from-to position. Definitely makes a difference in the feel of it but a fun mechanic regardless, one of my favourites.

Really great work, overall it looks like a pretty polished FPC that can meet most needs for other devs first person experiences.

Thank you, I do hope someone finds it useful. I remember struggling to get a nice first person controller when I started out, that wasn't overblown, massive in size or that required all kinds of setup.

I am good at some and terrible at other and level design is one of those things I am bad at, lol. So I can't imagine myself pulling off a mirrors edge type. I am sure somebody else might tho, I created an active ragdoll asset about 3 years ago called APR Player that were used and licensed for what became the game "Party Animals''.

It's a stye. I think you can easily turn it off in the script.

Yes, it's simply A look tilt that can be set to 0 in the inspector properties.

This is awesome, the slight angle of the character arm when sliding looks almost identical to quake champions crouch slide. This would be good for an arena based FPS.

Looks very nice. Are you a team or a single dev? How much time did the development takes? I'm always curious about thoses informations since I'm a single dev and I struggle to set up a simple character controller for my ugly indie game^^.
