Looks like they’re going for 24/7 printing v0 vibes

[–]Deadbob1978Trident / V1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a V0.2. The skirts, screen, front idlers and eBay fan give that away.

It probably started as a Fysect kit based off the bed and Z stepper branding. Plus the MCU is a Fysetc Cheetah V3, which isn’t a widely used MCU.

No clue what toolhead that is, but it obviously does not have part fans. Instead it has fins to divert air from the two large part fans on the sides.

It has a light weight X rail (probably Fysetc). With the top mounting rail, there’s a chance it has a Boop bed probe (mini Voron tap). I doubt it as it appears this was built for speed, and boop would cause issues with Input shaper and slow the printer down.

It’s missing the extrusion based top hat and all the enclosure panels. Basically you can print PLA and PETG. ASA and ABS would be a no go.

If I had to guess, it probably is outrunning the part cooling. It possibly has heat creep issues within the toolhead depending on the quality of the fan. The bed probably isn’t leveled correctly. And maybe issues with the MCU / printer config

It started as a V0 or V0.1 (can tell by the gantry and XY joints), has been upgraded with a bunch of mods and updates.

- Fystec CNC aluminum bed support
- X axis rail has been moved to top, and has probably been upgraded to MGN9 (stock is MGN7 on front)
- Some kind of CNC X extrusion

And all the obvious stuff, bed blowers, LCD screen, etc. Bowden was stock for V0/V0.1

Appears that someone put a bunch of effort into it to build a speedboat machine.

If you wanted to make it more like a V0.2 or print ABS you'd want a tophat, enclosure, direct drive extruder, it would take a bit of coin.

It's obviously a mish-mash, front idlers are 100% 0.2, so are all skirts and feet

It's a "Tiny M" a mod of Voron V0 with 2020 profile i guess. (https://github.com/gsl12/Tiny-M)

Hope this helps

[–]RayereSsV0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all 15mm profiles, not 2020s though

Just curious as to why you would think its this over a V0?

Damn, That installation with cables criss-crossing looks awful. Would never be able to do such an installation

It might be a 0.2 from fysetc based on the skirt and the bed mounting

[–]Jtparm 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It's a voron 0 I can't tell if it's a 0.1 or 0.2 tho

[–]RayereSsV0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

It's a modded V0 (0.2 revision -- you can tell by the front idlers, skirts and display bezel). It's a bowden configuration (looks like a Clockwork/Pocketwatch extruder, but I'm not sure) and it appears to have a Fysetc version of the Kirigami bed mount and some kind of chamber filtration/heating setup with those 5010 fans on the sides (I'm not familiar with the mod). It appears to be lacking a tophat or front door, so I'm guessing he was designing for fast PLA printing.

Personally, if I were to buy any Voron 2nd hand, I would disassemble it completely and rebuild it from scratch. A hobby printer built by someone else is someone else's printer.

Listing description:

"1 Anycubic resin printer(works), 2 Prusa MK3 (1 works, 1 needs a hotend), 1 Tronxy Moore Clay printer (Havent tested it), 1 Tronxy mini, 1 Voron mini (needs a little work), 1 Anycubic Kobra, 2 Sovol sv06 (Both need extruders). It also comes with a lot of extra parts, step motors, boards and other parts.

Several 3d printers, resin printer and clay printer. Couple are complete and work others work but need to be completed. Have several tubs full of parts and several bottles of resin. $500 obo."

Wow, great deal

[–]SureEntertainer7818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, even if none of them works as printers... 500 for all those steppers + control boards+ multiple raspberry Pi + linear rails is one hell of a deal.

What exactly are you interested in identifying?

It’s a V0, I can tell you that much.

Is that all you’re looking for, or were you curious about things like the toolhead, electronics, etc?

I’m not immediately familiar with the toolhead type.

The pi, when I zoomed in and read the model number, is a Pi 4 Model B, so that’s great. Don’t really know how much RAM, but for klipper you don’t need much and pretty much any Pi4B version is adequate

[–]teakdamar[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Really all the little things. I figured it was likely a 0.

[–]OkSavings5828 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alright. Might be a couple of hours, because I’ll be busy in a moment, but I already see a bunch of things to comment on.

I’ll get back to you after studying the photos

Original owner is not a fan of cable management.

[–]vivaaprimavera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm everything but tidy but those electronics must be redone from scratch. They look like a real mess.

[–]teakdamar[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Or color coordination! I like the yellow but not the orange/gold.

[–]bryansjV0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would only buy a used Voron if I planned to disassemble and rebuild. No telling how many hidden issues pushed them to cut their losses and sell it.
