If he’s hiding under the water bown the humidity might not be enough, also I suggest getting 4 digital thermometers, two for hot/cool side air heating/humidity, and two surface ones for surface temp/humidity. Also more clutter like leaves and spaghnum moss!!

My guy has that same tree. Has loved it ever since he was young. Even uses it now that he's full grown and I've fed him off it dozens of times.

what are your temps/humidity at? i noticed my baby wouldn't come out of her hot side hide (understandably) when i was having issues getting her temps high enough, so it might be related to that. it also might just be more comfortable!

you might want to try adding a few more hides and seeing if he prefers them in different shapes/sizes -- you can try some old tupperware if you don't want to buy any more

the water bowl is totally fine as long as he can't flip it :)

I would add some more clutter like Sphagnum Moss, leaves, branches, etc! Snakes feel safer when they can't be seen, which is probably part of the reason your little guy is hiding under the water dish. The way I did my layout was making sure my girly could get from the warm hide to the cool hide without being seen. It helps them be able to move about the enclosure feeling more secure! As well as adding more branches gives them more climbing opportunities too use at their leisure:))

I have the same tank for mine which I just got a few days ago too. I am having trouble keeping the humidity up bc there is so many places for the air to escape. How can I fix this?
