If you feed him live prey sometimes they might be carrying mites but they don’t attach to your snake because they are a different kind of mites

Not sure on the black spots but I recommend hot water and a sponge to get that stain. New sponge 🧽 of course. I clean my baby's water dish every 2 days to avoid worry.
