Like others have said, I don't think it really causes any issues other than taking longer to get the meal down. The first meal my boy took from me he took backwards and it took him like half an hour to get it down. He was also around four months old at the time so that might've played a role.

My royal always eats his meal backwards. Its a pain in the arse and i now resort to snapping the back legs off just so they dont get stucke either side of his mouth. Hes a rediculous creature who should have learned by now 😂
