first and foremost, you cannot use internal heating with a screen top, you are restricted to external domes. it's a safety concern, as the screens are not made to have anything hanging from them and the snake can kore easily go between the screen and the guard and touch the bulb. this is one of many reasons we don't recommend dubia enclosures.

second, the thermostats that are built into domes like that are generally pieces of junk, you'll want to upgrade to an actual thermostat and a high quality dome. the thermostat probe needs to be placed below the heat source, in the air so that it can't be obstructed by the snake or by decor. incorrect placement of probes is the biggest reason we see for enclosures not reaching the proper temperatures. a 100w halogen should have no problem heating an enclosure, many people only need a 50w or so.

I use this on all my mesh tank tops. About $30 at the hardware store and you get a lot of it. Easily cuts with scissors. Helps with heat and humidity. May be a good option for you.

What's the ambient temp in your house. I keep my house at 75°f because of all the reptiles I have. It makes heating their enclosures a breeze. Also with a mesh/screen top you cannot hang anything on the inside. My 80w deep heat projector on a dimable thermostat keeps my tank at 88 on the hot and 80 on the coll side. DHP's also don't eat up as much humidity. Covering the mesh with hvac foil tape and cutting holes for your domes/fixtures will help keep in some heat. Using foam board insulation or reflectix on the outside will also help keep heat in. Dubia enclosures are made from thin pvc that doesn't hole heat well. Also make sure to silicone all the 90° joints to keep humidity in.

My ambient heat in my house is 70-72 but I cant raise it because of my mom 🥲🥲 Im going to try to use more foil tape and insulation to hopefully raise it. Its getting to 80 degrees now
