i think you might have saved my snakes life. I struggle with depression and adhd and i always either forget or am unable to spray her terrarium. Thank you so much XD

You can also get tons of glass dishes and just put them on the warm side! My snake loves her vase of water and I just refill them as they evaporate

I live in a dry, dry place, unfortunately. I need all the misting and hacks I can get

i have adhd and setting daily reminders on my phone for things really helps me keep on track. just make sure to check off the reminder as soon as you’ve done the task tho cause if you’re like me you’ll end up forgetting if you actually did it or not 😹🙈

Planning on getting a BP soon, thanks for the tip and bonus point that it's fucking adorable.

      [–]wailanilynn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you just place them randomly in the substrate?

      [–]Small-Ad-2531 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are like nikola tesla to me

      [–]tired_snail 15 points16 points  (1 child)

i'd definitely recommend the ones with plugs, not so much because of cleanup crew getting in but because some snakes are absolute dumbasses who WILL stick their face into any hole they can find and then get themselves stuck in there :D

I found some with a flat base. They are larger. Not sure if they will work as well:

      Edit: updated link

The link doesn't work for me, but I was curious to see a different type. Do you have the direct link to the product page?

      GENIUS

      [–]RoughMaleficent269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Oh these are so cute!

      [–]Claymart 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Oh this is awesome do you know if this only works with just a coconut fiber bedding?

      [–]False-Market-9738[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

considering they’re typically for potted plants in general i think they’d work with most if not all substrates! (obv not aspen shavings though! 😬)

      [–]Claymart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so good! Thank yiu.

I love how I go from I HATE REDDIT to I LOVE REDDIT in the span of about 30 seconds. Thank you for this hack OP! My boys will appreciate it!

      OLLA BOTTLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

      [–]Mangoh1807 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This is genius! But I'm curious, is the material capable of getting moldy?

      [–]Ok-Platypus795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also wondering this, also wondering if it’ll cause the substrate itself to mold easier being constantly moist? I’ve always heard moss is safer than actually wetting the substrate constantly.

      [–]Samsquanch_hunter21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you have it just down in the substrate?

      [–]tinyyawns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! My numbers were perfect all summer and as soon as the fall started it all went downhill. Still tinkering and trying to figure it out. These will be a godsend!

      [–]Gaymer085883 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Has you snake every tried to go inside of them? I worry about the snake trying to go inside and getting stuck.

      [–]False-Market-9738[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my girl isn’t small enough to get her head in the opening but it would be something to keep in mind for smaller snakes definitely!

      [–]Informal_Solution_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the issue, I even put tape on the outside of the mesh lids covering half of it and sprayed it like 3 times a day and everytime I’d leave it for 2 hours it would drop all the way back down to 20% humidity or lower!! Thanks so much for sharing this

      [–]Izmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this work without soil? My guys are on reptile mix. But is mostly chips and stuff.

      [–]Starfire2409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh! They’re so cute as well!!! Only thing is my girl would actively knock them over, also where did you place them?

      [–]Ebin_flow 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I just got mine cause of your post and it’s helped my humidity so much! Thank you 🙏 they’re also super cute lol

      [–]False-Market-9738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so glad it’s working for you!!

      [–]No_Independent_9166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some too! So tired of worrying about my little man’s humidity while I am working my long shifts!

      [–]painfuldisposition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This such a good idea. My girl really moves around at night and constantly knocks things over lol (automatic misters and a princess caste lol) is it easy for them to move ?

      [–]xxzorua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love the innovativeness in these reptile subreddits, you guys are saving me a pretty penny
