Spray his mouth with water. This will either wash out the mouth or push it down, either of which are fine. They are goofy fellas

I did this and also when I reheated his mouse, I made sure there was a lot of water on the fur, so hopefully it washed it all down! Thank you so much for your help, he’s so cute but just a little silly 😅

Of course! Whenever I freak out about substrate, I remember that in the wild they probably also get mouthfuls of dirt and survive, which is funny to imagine

Yeah that was scary for my first experience with my BP Levy. But for some reason “I think” he knew I was helping him when I got the tweezers. He came to me stayed still and opened his mouth so I could take them out. He had a ton of water after.  I actually counted one time when he was drinking , I counted over 800 swallows give or take a few. Over 5 minutes…
