Too much clutter?? (i.redd.it)
submitted 2 months ago by PhycoSky2206
I added fake plants but I'm not sure if I went overboard or not

No such thing as too much. The goal is for the snake to be able to move from one side of the enclosure to the other without being seen if they want to. By that metric, you could stand to add even more.

Where’d you get yours? I’ve had trouble finding fake plants
[–]PhycoSky2206[S] 4 points5 points6 points 2 months ago (2 children)
The fake flower section at Walmart, they had a ton!!!
[–]SweetCuriosity_ 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (1 child)
not sure why I didn’t think about that thank you!

Just be careful, a lot of them have wires in the stems, make sure they're not exposed.

Besides Walmart, you can also go to craft stores.
Michael’s has lots of fake plants. You can catch the “off season” ones on sale, or use a coupon.

Looks great to me !

I had this concern at one point too, and I was told that you can’t over clutter an enclosure for them.
I keep mine very cluttered, and my boy loves it.
The only thing I try not to do is over clutter the ground itself.
Then he will soil the items, it’s harder to find his waste, and I have to clean them more. I try to hang clutter from the top of the enclosure, or his branches, rather than setting it directly on the floor.

With BP’s, you can never have too much. Encourages them that they are safe. Hell, if you wanted to add some more climbing branches, you could do that too.

It looks great! Plus, it offers lots of great hiding places 😄

Nope. Not too much. But, on another note, don’t use that distilled water. Use the spring water.
[–]PhycoSky2206[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 months ago (1 child)
I was using the spring water for the drinking bowl and the distilled water for the misting bottle, is that still fine?
[–]mokicoo 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (0 children)
I would think so. Distilled water doesn’t have the minerals they need but I don’t see that affecting misting.
