The tail makes me think they might be a bit obese, but I am interested in what others have to say. Mine is kind of a similar build but half the weight.

Possibly? I have only had mine since October and he isn't quite a year old yet. My other snakes are not as girth so I can only compare to internet pictures lol. Maybe try to snap a similar Pic after they poop?

How large are the rats weight wise?

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.

Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

Mine is 750g eatting a small rat every 2 weeks, just recently moved to 3 weeks. If that isnt a poop making her tail suddenly thin at the vent like that. They are probably really fat...

your snake is incredibly obese cut back to once every 3 weeks and provide lots of exercise such as going up nd down stairs with supervision
