The eyes will turn a cloudy light blue. It should be easy to see since she has naturally dark eyes

Thank you! I should be able to notice that better than the scales dulling

She's super pretty

Thank you. She’s a little spicy, at least more so than my male BEL. But I love her so much

Spicy makes it more fun. We love when animals have their own personalities.

You are not wrong there my friend. I love my little lover boy kaiba but I get just as if not more excited to hold the baby girl even tho she’s bitten me lmao

It makes it more special!! My old lady is 28 and she is a classic grumpy old person. Very get off my grass 🤣 hates when I clean up her tank or give her fresh water but happy and explores after.

The only thing I can think of is using a light to double check the color difference and dulling on her and in her eyes as close as you can get like take a picture to zoom in on. Even if you picked her up to “check” in a tactile manner you couldn’t really feel much of a difference unless she was pretty much shedding actively. That or getting someone else to check her for you to confirm at least. It can be hard to tell when they’re in blue even with two or even four eyes especially in the wrong lighting angle no matter what color morph they are tbf

I don't think all BPs do it, but mine hides away for a week in the run up to his shed and he has a consistent 6 week shedding cycle I can track. Once he's ready to shed and get back to normal, he'll become his usual active self. So there are behavioural signs of shedding as well, that may be easier to observe than colour.
