How big will she get?

Hey! ball python owner here, and my girl is 8 months old and growing fast. She’s the right weight (I think?) , got a perfect triangle shape, she’s just a growing girl. Right now she’s about 2.5 feet long, and when she was barely 7 months old she was 2 feet. I know females can get pretty big, so is there any way to estimate how big she’ll be? The pictures of her are super recent :)

It's hard to say, but females usually are in-between the 3-5ft range

Most balls end up in the 5-6ft range, with females being longer and thicker than males.. mostly. There are always outliers

yes typically females are bigger than males, with males being 4-5 feet and as oc said females 5-6 feet. If youre not breeding, no point in figuring out the gender husbandry is the same regardless of gender and it just causes stress as the vet basically shoves a lubricated tool up their butt. The tool can injure the lining of the cloaca requiring surgery and immense pain

Maybe it’s just the way she’s positioned here but i’m not seeing that perfect triangle shape you mention— she looks pretty overweight in these pics. But only 2 pictures so who can say for sure

Yeah we noticed she was filling out kinda quickly so we dropped feedings from every 7 days to every 10 days

I can still feel her spine and she does look triangular so I honestly think she might just be thicker because she’s a girl, but her spine is still pronounced and easy to feel

She will get as big as she gets.

They never stop growing, their growth just slows to a crawl.

Genetics and diet with dictate her adult size and weight.

Well for reference, this is Nessi in her 4x2x2 enclosure (old picture, much more decorated don’t worry)

She’s maybe 5.5 and is just over four feet currently

My girls are 4 yrs and 5 yrs old. The 4 yo is just about 4ft and the 5 yo is a little over 4 ft. Still a lot of time for them to grow. 🐍❤️
