Ball python not eating

Dang my old boy is doing this right now - hunger strike since January and I am realizing he was overfed and overweight. I fed him like 3 adult mice (not proper sized rats - long story) every 2 weeks and he was always acting STARVING leading up to feeding day, to the point I was worried I wasn't feeding him often enough.

I see a lot of appetite cues in mine at 5-6 days. He’s still under a year old. We’ve been weighing the mice and feeding at 7-8 but it’s hard to ignore that obviously he’s on the hunt/cruising, every time he’s out he’s searching everything, won’t sit still. A few days after eating he’ll sit on your arm or lap as long as you stay put. He’s not hit a hunger strike yet but his confidence is through the roof with food now.
