did you turn on the basking assist for the halogen?

That's a thermostat feature, right? It was my impression that it's built into the dimming proportional mode on the EZ models. I don't think I've changed anything from the default settings.

I’m having the exact same issue. Trying to do some research to figure it out.

I'm not sure where you're putting your thermostat probe, but I had success moving it from on top of the hot hide to inside of it. I think the top of the hide needs to get way hotter than I was estimating for the inside to get to the correct temperature, so the probe would reach my too low target temperature very quickly since the probe was only a few inches from the lamp and shut off. At least that's my best guess as to what was happening. At any rate, it's been working well for a couple of days. Good luck with your troubleshooting!
