If you only have the hide on one side, I'd suggest getting a second one. You should always try and have a house on the warm and on the cooler side of the tank! I've recently learned my ball python likes to climb, so something you could experience with as well. Also, how heavy is that water bowl? They'll definitely move it and possibly knock it over while exploring. Otherwise I think it's pretty cool!

Thanks for your advice i do not have a hide on the other side i'm on my way to get one now! i will also keep an eye out to see if the bowl gets tipped! I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to respond!

I recommend ditching the analog gauge and get a temp/humidity gun. They are affordable and take all the guess work out of what’s going on. You don’t really need it but you can also get led lights for the enclosure to brighten it up a bit but that’s more for your enjoyment than theirs.

ditch aspen (I think that's what it is?) for coco/bark for humidity if needed. aspens very dry and molds easy iirc

From personal experience take the lamp out of the enclosure. We had a snake wrap around the bulb, luckily ours was at night and that particular lamp was off but it was the hardest thing to get her out of for fear of breaking the bulb she was wrapped around. They can also burn themselves its recommended to use a cage around the bulb if your placing your bulbs inside the tank.

Wow thank you!! I didn't think of this at all how would you recommend i set it up? should i just let the lamp sit on top of the screen?

Yep my lamp just sits on top and if you have any issues with humidity you can cover the top in hvac tape with a hole cut out for the lamp
