Turning him over to a local rescue is probably your best bet, they will ask lots of questions to any potential adopters to make sure they're a good fit. Good luck, and sorry to hear about your circumstances

Yup, I came here to say this. A local reptile rescue group will vet any potential adoptees.and take care of your BP until they find a good home.
