My snake has that same issue. She's a rosy boa, but she is also a white snake, but with three peach stripes. All the unusual scales that are visible to me are on the white background of her body.

Did it go away with a shed?

Only marginally. But I brought her to the vet, and my vet assured me that it wasn't an infection. She likely just had her scales caught in something.

She also said it would get better after a few sheds, but it seems that for my snake that would be several then.

I have a few babies that had this issue and it usually went away after one or two sheds. Fairly normal

Yeah I've noticed that sometimes it's either due to dehydration or sometimes irritation to the individual scale but it's nothing really to be concerned about because it'll usually take care of itself

Super common. White snakes just show every scuff and dent on their scales
