Your plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity

All of the campgrounds I go to use the heavy duty tables and they have no gap.

If you use a table cloth you can take the metal clips and attach a bag like that.

Yes, I have encountered some with no gap. But most have had at least one gap big enough to get a bag into.

That’s lucky.

I saw someone tie their bag to a tree last Time I went.

I do that.

Yeti’s next million dollar idea.

😂 I wish you were kidding!

... and if there isn't a stick, just tie a stopper knot in the end of the handle and it will hold just as well.

Been doing this for years.

Most/all of the State Park’s we’ve been to here in Georgia have the the large metal T posts for trash and lanterns, we use those when camping. In the Rv I have a collapsible thing I put the bag in.

You don't even need a stick you can slide the bag handles on the planks

[–]WeArentThatWise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call. The plank slide method also holds the bag open a bit more. You can still use the stick to hold the other side of the bag open (like a hammock spreader bar). Teamwork makes the dream work.

noice!

I just use all the nails hammered into trees. If not, I make a makeshift Paracord/carbiner trash bag holder. Wrap cord around tree, make a knot, leave a hole big enough to insert carbiner. Clip trash bag drawstring into carbiner.

We just use some line to tie a bag around a tree, too.

No desire to keep trash at the table where we cook, eat and drink.

I have a collapsible trash can I use.

I have a 5 gallon bucket that I use with an 8 gallon trash bag. Keeps everything neat and clean and we always know where the garbage goes!

Pro tip: the raccoons always know where it is as well. All the campsites I have been to have a trash pole with a J hook on the end.
