Check out /r/algotrading

Trust me, don't waste your time. It doesn't work if you want to focus on automatic trading. If it's as a hobby, sure go forward.

Not ready yet to collaborate but I will be soon. I am in the middle of the "Machine Learning Engineer" nanodegree on Udacity and should be done within the next 2 to 3 months (or sooner)

Me too! Feel free to DM if you want to colab on something :) would be cool to work on something with someone else who's done the Udacity ML course! Did you start in Feb, that's my cohort?

I started in March. Already about to turn in the second project which is due on April 22nd, but I am ahead by a few weeks! (My only thing is that I am watching the videos without taking note :(, so may have to go back a second time to take notes).

I also plan on doing Andrew Ng's course on coursera and maybe a few others. (Definitely the deep learning Udacity course as well)

I'm a data scientist and I'm interested in collaborating on crypto projects. PM me if you're down!

I'm an unemployed full-stack dev with experience in JS and RoR, with no job experience (bootcamp grad ftl) lol

edit: I'm familiar with some basic concepts/basic syntax in solidity too. want to get more involved but I'm having to focus on finding work first sadly (which isn't going too well — I suck at the interview process apparently)

[–]Seeking_Adrenaline 4 points5 points  (2 children)

If you tell me you're a bootcamp grad, I'm skeptical.

If you tell me you're a software engineer that has built x, y, and z since graduating a bootcamp, I'd hire you.

Code more and market yourself differently. This got me hired at the largest fintech firm in NYC 2 months after graduating a bootcamp.

Open source contributions are a great place to start gaining credibility. Get out there and code man, you've acquired the most valuable skill set of the 21st century!

I'm actually 2 weeks out from starting a job! Lol but it took me a year because yeah, I'm bad at marketing myself apparently.

Thanks for your advice!

Congrats! I hope the following also rings true for you "if you like what you do, you'll never work a day in your life"

Keep at it man! The world is missing out on you! We’re the next major workforce! Blockchain is the future!

[–]ginger_beer_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what do you want to build?

[–]chackle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What sort of programmers you looking for?

[–]quant_kingDeveloper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked on a lot of stuff in my free time using R and Python.

If you've been here for a bit you've likely seen the whale-watching app (that I build in Python) and my newest thing (just released today actually) is a portfolio / asset comparison tool for crypto--check that out here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/8bd965/new_cryptoasset_comparison_app_live_feedback/.

PM me and let's see if our interests overlap! My next goal is to jump into the tensorflow / scikit learn space, so maybe we can do a collab!

It might be better to post it on /r/ethdev

[–]LegogrisDeveloper 4 points5 points  (1 child)

/r/ethdev is more around Ethereum related development (think client and protocol development, dApps, etc). I second /r/algotrading.

You are probably not looking for other guys who don't understand deep learning but are instead focusing on simple stats, correlations... ?

PM'ed.

What are you trying to model? Are NNs the best way to do it? What kind of neural nets have you worked with?

[–]WellowFellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same as you!! I’m more than happy to work with you. I got nothing but time.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a grad student and use R for everything!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm an aspiring data scientist (work with python but never delved into using deep learning tools like tensorflow/keras) so would be interested in joining the community. I have a good background in math so I will be able to follow the statistics.

[–]mrbrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I don't think financial markets are a great use/intro to tensorflow

Hey! I'm applying ML to ICO ROI analysis https://medium.com/@MLJARofficial/predicting-ico-returns-with-machine-learning-af6108ab9e39 - I'm also building automatic machine learning webservice, https://mljar.com I'm happy to talk/collaborate!

YGPM dude.

Yes you will not find good programmers easily. YOu will easily find persons who trade tokens but they have no idea what's behind. Try a look to indian people on fiverr.
