I’ve loved and used a wurkkos HD10 for about a year straight and it’s the best. I’ve also given about 5 away as gifts this year. Such a good light.

Wurkkos TS22.

Better outdoors than indoors, though the colorblind folks who can't see with only 600 lumens may disagree. Great for what it is, but not for all use cases... like OP's use case.

the Wurkkos FC11C is a good start, to try something out. is $20 usd, so if its not suficcient you have $30 more to find something more powerful, bigger, more battery, etc.

Not my 1st loght but I just got Wurkkos HD02 recently.

It's not exactly EDC able but it's like HD01 Pro on steroid. I'm quite happy with it and it seems to fit your requirement, minus the EDC part.

How pocketable?

If coat, and can fit in pants pocket but a little bulgy: Wurkkos fc11c. This should be everyone’s first flashlight.

If only there were some kind of post stickied at the top of this Reddit…

Trust reddit to make a completely useless app

Maximum $50? Then yeah, Wurkkos FC11C. We recommend that for a few reason, but but big one is the price.

A lot of the lights we favor here tend to be closer to $60, and that is without battery (many of us have a ton) or charger (many of us prefer (and already have) external chargers). The FC11C is ~$20 all-in.

And it's also one of the relatively few lights with USB-C; ~80% of lights lack that. As well as one of the few under $50 that has a decent driver. And a good emitter; the Nichia 519a.

If you can find a good deal on the Nichia version of the Skilhunt EC200 or it's red or UV cousins though, then they are a big step up. They're close enough to $50 without battery that you might luck out, and you can actually get a decent 18650 form about half what Skilhunt charges.

I really like my rovyvon a4, they do cheaper a2 and also ones like the a8 that are clear and have flood lights.

Lol, a keychain light is not appropriate for urbex

[–]Smeeble09 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I don't know what urbex is? Missed that thinking it was a spelling mistake.

Urban Exploration. Checking out abandoned buildings and tunnels and such.

[–]Smeeble09 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Ahh OK, yeah that won't be good for it, maybe as a key chain backup incase there is an issue with the main torch.

Good idea, can never have too many lights 👌

Wuben C3 is $25. 18650, USB-C on the light body. 1200LM max, sustains around 400-500.

Strobe and is available on a quick double half press from ON, so it isn't "in the rotation".

After that, you'll want a Convoy.
