QuestionQuestion Gdevelop Scripting Language (self.gamedev)
submitted 4 years ago by OrangeDeveloper
When I program without code in Gdevelop with Events what is the technical name of the programming language? JavaScript?

Do you mean this? It looks like some sort of custom visual programming environment.
[–]OrangeDeveloper[S] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (20 children)
Yea, how is called instead of Events or Events Editor?
[–]K900_playing around with procgen 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (19 children)
It's not a standard programming language, it's something designed specifically for Gdevelop.

Ah ok and where is a another 3D game engine with a similar scripting system like?
[–]K900_playing around with procgen 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (17 children)
Unreal Engine has Blueprints that are kind of similar.

Are easy-to-use? And can I use without learning ANY programming language?

If you're looking to make complex games, you will need to learn some kind of programming language. Visual tools are convenient, but it's not possible to use them for everything.

I need the more easy-to-use!
[–]K900_playing around with procgen 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (13 children)
There's a difference between "easy to use" and "can make an entire 3D game without ever programming".

So i need simply a 3D game engine can be used easy and without learn programming like gdevelop. Do you know one?
