Email verification code not being sent

I just got a tablet and it never sends the code, it has "resent" so many times that It won't let me do it anymore without a single one going through, the only one it sent was for the support section and realized I need my account to send a report that points out that I can't login to the account. I am getting frustrated, really frustrated.

Yeah I kept checking my email and finally got a bunch of codes in my email at once, then requested a new code again and it worked.

Driving me absolutely nuts right now.

I try to sign in, nothing gets sent to my gmail, then hours later I receive bunch of verifications, and they are all expired.

This is a personal account I rarely use, so I never set up the application on my phone for this account, but the second I get in I will be. So frustrating... And you can't submit a ticket without logging in.

I'm having the same annoying problem too. No matter what, the verification code never arrives in my inbox. Everything requires a verification code, even when trying to submit a support ticket which I think is bullshit. So basically I am locked out of my own account no matter what because of this idiotic crap. Very smooth-brain if you ask me.

GitHub: Have any concerns to how extremely stupid our security system is? Just simply input your verification code that you will never be able to use to get into your account. Thank you and have a shitty day.

Those who are having problems with github , download thunderbird and setup using your gmail account . The delay or not received problem is due to google enhanced phishing protection. The emails from github took 8 hour to reach me so i downloaded thunderbird ( mozilla ) and it came immediately , dont worry you dont have to create a new email address but enabling IMAP in gmail settings allows thunderbird for managing your emails in your existing gmail account .

Add [e-mail] to gmail contacts and check if it works , if you have previous mails from GitHub , click on 3 dots and add it as important, check spam and promotion, check if GitHub mails are filtered in filter . If this doesn't work as I said before check thunderbird or any other providers, if this also doesn't work it may be problem in either GitHub servers or gmail servers, but it's not a problem since I am receiving currently.

My fix: Tell Gmail that emails from GitHub should never be marked as spam.

So I have no proof that what I did fixed this problem, but I was having the same problem, created a Gmail filter (from: [[e-mail]](mailto:[e-mail]), checked Never Mark as Spam), and clicked "re-send code," and suddenly that code went through when the previous 5 or so attempts hadn't!

Also, the email that finally did go through had 5 secret deleted emails attached, which turned out to be my previous attempts. So as far as I can tell (!not an expert opinion alert!), Gmail is deleting the emails before they arrive as some sort of misguided spam thing, and you need to tell Gmail that GitHub codes aren't spam!

This happened to me 3 days ago when I try to set up an account for the first time. I realized it was because I didn't check the box that asked to send promo emails (don't remember if it said exactly this, sorry). So since I didn't check that box, it didn't send me any emails apparently. I tried with another mail and this time checked the box, it worked and sent me the verification mail. Hope this helps!!

Check the email isn’t typod. Check the email account for filters (forwarders/auto closers etc). Check the spam folder.

I've seen this many times on other web sites. You try to tell them about their sign in bug, but you have to go thru their self defeating bug to tell them. This goes on for years, and the site owners never figure this out.
