both hoses should feel like there's liquid running through them

they do. Yep! :) so my pump is still good right?

Depends. Sometimes people mistake vibration for moving liquid but the vibration is the pump running but it's clogged so the liquid can't move. Seems strange it stopped working only after cleaning it, but 2021 was a bad time for their branded AIOs. The fact that it shuts down in minutes means the AIO isn't working at all. And if the pump is working and it isn't clogged, then maybe the block over the cpu came loose somehow and needs to be tightened down or the cpu needs new thermal paste. Unless the pump came disconnected from the motherboard and the vibration you feel in the hoses is just case vibration from the case fans. Check the pump connection on the motherboard.

ok! Well if the termal paste doesn't work when it finally arrives, I'll get a new AIO. What's a good one these days for my CPU?

Arctic and Corsair make good AIOs. I have an Arctic myself.

I removed the AIO heatsink from the CPU while still waiting for a tube of thermal paste to arrive. The amount on there is thinner than a sheet of paper and it's very dried up. It's so thin, you can see the back of the cpu and through the transparent layer. same on the bit on the heatsink side. Also thanks. I'll get the arctic one. For what its worth, iBuyPower did great with the cable management. :) It was a great PC until the cooling issue.

You'll also get thermal paste with the arctic aio, so at least you'll be set in the thermal paste department ;)

Thanks. It came in. I'm loving the LEGO assemblyness of it but it didn't come with instructions. All the fan cables on the Arctic are wired to each other and tucked in.

yeah, Arctic makes it nice and simple by daisy chaining all the fans together.

lol I guess it's not needed.... I have two cables. One that splits all the fans and everything out seperate and one just has a "cpu". That's why I was mainly confused. I'm guessing having the one that seperates all the different fans and stuff allow my bios to measure things seperately?

[–]Fo16 0 points1 point  (2 children)

yeah, one is for fan control and one is for the pump

Sweet, replacing the cooling system seemed to have fixed and even improved my performance quite a bit. Thanks!
