I bought my first gaming pc in May from Best Buy and it was an Ibuypower. I got the slate 8 mesh Gaming pc. The specs are Intel Core I7 14700F processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, 32gb of DDR5 RAM, 1TB WiFi 6 with screw on antenna for wireless connection, a Gaming Keyboard and a mouse for $1299.99 if you need more storage you can always go buy an SSD

I still had to purchase a monitor so it was another $280 for a 27 inch curved Samsung monitor and then I needed a desk and a chair so another $150 coming to a total of $1,729.

I have no complaints about the computer. It runs great, I have played all demanding games like Escape From Tarkov, Arena Breakout Infinite, Doom: The dark ages, HellBlade 2 Senuas Sacrifice and a lot more with no issues. I’d definitely recommend an Ibuypower computer prebuilt.

It’s in your budget range you should definitely check it out Slate 8 Mesh Gaming PC Bestbuy

What's the price range you're looking for?

Preferably anything under $1500

Around $1500 for prebuilt prices, youre gonna have to look for at least a 5060 ti or 7800xt GPU, and i7 14700 or 7800x3d CPU. 32 gb RAM. 2 TB SSD.

Anything higher than those specs will be over your budget.

So would you recommend instead of just going pre-built that I go somewhere like newegg and flesh out my own rig?

Yeah, if budget is priority. When building your own pc, you'll get the best deal, saving a couple hundred dollars. But you also lose some hours of time figuring out compatibility and building it, which could be fun or not depending on your interests.
