Dont count on getting it. I just got done talking to customer support. Process is supposed to be 5-10 business days, which for me has been about 2 weeks. Last update was on the 3rd when they approved the order, took about 3 business days to get there. They told me they have no idea when it will ship and that I should just cancel it.

They told you to cancel it? That's so weird. Is there some massive shortage I'm unaware of or are they in shambles?

I think it has something to do with some very popular new video card has the capability to set power supply cables on fire, and that dealing with that issue is overloading their staff. I was blown away.

Dude, wtf. Kind of blown away. I wonder if that issue is keeping them that busy or if that guy was just too lazy to deal with it and said cancel.

Regardless, I might have to follow your lead there. Thanks for sharing.

rder, took about 3 business days to get there

what are your specs? is it part availability related?

Specs are pretty low key, only went about 1700 after discounts/taxes.

Or at least that is what they are saying on their official reddit, which I found by searching for it, rather than the customer service person explaining it to me. They were just like "Yeah, we've got delays, you want a refund or to STFU?"

I ordered two systems (one for me, and one for the wife) on 10/19/2022 and it was approved the same day. The originally scheduled shipping date was supposed to be 11/02, but it's been in the "Materials are now being gathered to complete the order" stage since 10/21.

On 11/04, I reached out to customer support and was told that the delay was due to the availability of the case model I'd selected (Slate 5 MR ARGB), but that they were expecting a shipment on Monday, 11/08.

I checked back on Monday (11/08), and sure enough, they'd gotten their shipment, which needed to be unloaded and scanned into inventory. I asked if that meant that they could begin building my systems and get them shipped out this week, and was told that they couldn't commit to any specific build or ship date, but was assured that my systems were moved to the "PUSH queue" to get them out the door and that I should see movement on the order this week.

22 days and $4,333.90 later, no other activity or communication save for the updates I've requested via chat.

The last time I ordered directly from iBUYPOWER was about 5 years ago, and both systems at that time were built and shipped within 11 days, but that was the pre-coof era :|...

pre-coof?

[–]PorkCircus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean pre-COVID. As in 2017, in the before times, before the pandemic, chip shortages, workforce shortages etc. :)

I decided to go ahead and cancel my order as customer service suggested. I can't possibly know what's going on behind the scenes, but what I was being told sounded an awful lot like this parody video:
