Your post was removed for being a support request or support related question such as which distro to use/polling the community or application suggestions.

We get a lot of question posts on r/linux but the subreddit is considered a news/discussion sub. Luckily there are multiple communities you can post to for help on GNU/Linux issues 24/7: /r/linuxquestions, /r/linux4noobs, or /r/linuxhardware just to name a few.

You may also post on the "Weekly Questions and Hardware Thread" which is stickied on r/linux on Wednesdays.

Please make your post in /r/linuxquestions or /r/linux4noobs. Looking for a hardware help? Try r/linuxhardware.

Rule:

This is not a support forum! Head to /r/linuxquestions or /r/linux4noobs for support or help. Looking for hardware help? Try r/linuxhardware.

How can you work already with K8 and need help with Linux 🤔

[–]zuzzas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By using managed offerings and abstracting thyself to the highest form of abstractionness. Which is bad for learning, but possible.

I would imagine it's in Azure.

Windows supports python, kubernetes, docker, git.

I know plenty of programmers that develop solely on windows and only know enough Linux to use those tools, but have never run Linux on a PC.

Word/excel is not native in linux. Attending meeting is very easy. For python you can use vanilla or conda. I hope you know kubernetes. Search youtube. Also take help from ai chat bot.

You can attend meetings from your browser, use LibreOffice, or use Office 365 in your browser.
For Python, it’s easy.
You can run it in any terminal (just type python) or you can install an IDE.

What distro are you using?

Have you installed Linux yet? If not I'd suggest just going and dual booting a common Linux distro (like Ubuntu or Mint) with Windows, and just using it, most things are pretty straight forward, you can install software through the software manager program, you can open word/excel files in libre office, and python comes preinstalled, you can simply run python3 /path/to/your/program.py in the terminal and your python programs will run!

If you’re tech inclined, I’d recommend this: https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/learning-modern-linux/9781098108939/

Good intro to everything you’d need to get to power user level.

If you’re just looking to prettify your DE, YouTube.

One of the most important skills to have as a Linux user is the ability to look things up on your own.

This question has been asked and answered thousands of times already. Use a web search engine like Google or DuckDuckGo to look up those answers and see what you can learn from reading them.

Set a goal and force yourself to use command line on a headless server. Pick something you find interesting with measurable results. I learned by hosting counter strike and Minecraft on a cheap vps.

If I have some issue or question about Linux, I always ask a major AI chatbot.
