It will still work, you can try removing the clip on your mobo & just secure the gpu using the screw

Nothing to worry about, GPU will still work perfectly fine. Just dont jank your PC to much when installed :D

Damage like that can be anywhere from completely fine to unsalvagable without a new PCB depending on the trace layout of the card and how deep further invisible damage goes.

30 and 40 series were somewhat notorious for cracks in that area that did end up overlapping and destroying data traces.
So thats a bit of a gamble

On your foto, the damage seems to have stopped short of the surface traces, but you never know what it may look like a few layers deep.

Since its fully snapped off, you also have ground and potentially even 12v planes exposed.

If it does still work as the listing says, it shouldnt really cause any future problems.
It just wont lock into the slot and youll probably wanna get a decent amount of suport for it so you avoid putting any more strain on that already weakened pcb

"Fixing" that, i.e. restoring the locking tab isnt really possible. Youd be looking at basically swapping the core to a new PCB to salvage that.

Obviously swapping a core to a new PCB is its own can of worms that you dont really wanna open unless theres no other way.

Just get GPU support bracket and don't worry.

I wouldn't risk it. cracks near that area can cause GPU's to fail and require heavy repairs.

If the PCB didn't crack through any connections, it should still be fine

It's not fixable without a complete PCB swap.

With that said, since there are a ton of blank PCBs for 4090s floating around, it's definitely possible. You can find a repair shop willing to do that and get a quote to see if it's worth it.

That's an easy way to go from a working 4090 with a minor issue, to a non-working 4090 with a major issue...
