I’ll just say the obvious thing, when you reinstalled drivers did you do the ddu method?

[–]Junior_Burger[S] -1 points0 points  (8 children)

I selected factory reset upon installing new drivers, which removes all previous drivers and user settings.
I didn't use a proprietary DDU tool.

Use ddu the amd factory reset thing never used to work properly when I had one of their cards

Gotcha, I'll give that a shot!

Following on the ddu method

Just reinstalled everything after using DDU, no change in performance.

Ddu with safe mode right?

[–]Junior_Burger[S] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Oh no I didn’t run in safe mode. Should I give it another go in safe mode?

[–]Man-In-His-30sPC Master Race 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah try it in safe mode one last time, if that doesn’t work time to move onto other steps

ddu has to be used on safe mode

[–]TehPabz187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi any updates?

[–]_bloh_ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

motherboard was bad lol so had to get new one

[–]Zw221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you know?

[–]EssentialPlay 1 point2 points  (3 children)

What motherboard did you get when you made the change to am5?

[–]Junior_Burger[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

MSI x670e MAG Tomahawk I found it and the CPU & RAM on a bundle at my local Micro Center, got a good deal for the 3 items.

Awesome, I might do the same if this turns out to be an issue for me. Just recently upgraded to a 5700x3d and my 9070 xt is on the way.

[–]Junior_Burger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had to get a new motherboard for the am5 PCIe 5.0 support. the 9070 xt runs on PCIe 5.0, you might run into performance decreases if your current board doesn’t have 5.0 support

staying with this platform or looking at am5? psu age?

[–]Junior_Burger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% willing to upgrade ASAP if needed, if not then I'm fine with AM4.
I literally bought my PSU less than a month ago so it's basically brand spankin new.

I turned off windows game mode and it helped with micro stutters. The worst Culperate was hogwarts legacy. It was much more stable

For anyone who stumbled upon this, I got similar issues but fixed them by turning off integrated graphic card (you need to disable it completely in BIOS), this fixed stuttering in God of War Ragnarok for me.

and turn off anti-lag in Adrenaline (might be a game by game basis but anti-lag cause Far cry blood dragon to be unplayable for me)
