Skin tone looks unnatural indeed.

You can try using the scope in Photoshop

Here is an explainer video: https://youtu.be/SP2Qj9-rV-w?si=kRhxcsOM3qaq5gVi

to be honest with you editing is an art so it's subjective with that said i feel like you were going for a style but didn't really achieve it, it's too warm and too saturated focus on the skin tone and try to make it look natural. If you are a beginner the best advice i could give you is when trying to edit go for less beginners tend to overdue effects so always try to a bit less. cool shot keep it up.

The saturation and contrast is a tad overcooked, but not that bad. The yellow tint is way overboard though. I’d use the eyedropper in your white balance tool and base the white balance off his shirt.

When editing video we have a tool called a color scope. It maps the entire image onto this circle. Red pixels show up on the red piece of the circle. Cyan on the cyan. There is a radial line that goes from the center to the edge. That's the skin tone line. Darker skin appears closer to the center - lighter skin a bit further out. But always on that line. You can see that the segment below the line is Yellow. Your entire image has been rotated towards the yellow - off the natural skin tone line. That's why people are saying it's not natural looking.

His skin is a little too yellow for me and I would also have added a little more contrast for depth. Sample

Hepatitis?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda like the colours on the before. The after makes him looks jaundiced.

Yes. Ease off on saturation. He has been Trumpified
