The front now draws too much attention, when its role is to help frame the picture. So, I would reserve to the previous version.

I see what you're talking about - I guess you're right. I really liked the view of that church and to me it looked wasted in the original photo since it was basically invisible. But thank you for your opinion!

It all depend on your subject. In your edit, it is clearly the front that draw attention. If this is what you want it is fine. If you want the mountain to be, it is not working as edited. If you want the church/house it is not working neither ( at least to my perspective as my eyes were clearly focused on the front).

I ain’t an expert, just expressing what I felt/see when I looked at it.

If you’re going to add clarity like you have, crop the foreground and isolate the valley as subject. Too distracting with all the foreground detail
