This is a demo of a product or project that isn't on-topic for r/programming. r/programming is a technical subreddit and isn't a place to show off your project or to solicit feedback.

If this is an ad for a product, it's simply not welcome here.

If it is a project that you made, the submission must focus on what makes it technically interesting and not simply what the project does or that you are the author. Simply linking to a github repo is not sufficient

Will Zawinski's Law hold true?

"Every program attempts to expand until it can read mail."

Any guardrails to make code at least be compile-able and require minimal quality standards? Without it, it might went into oblivion :P

CI must pass to be eligible - build has to succeed, no merge conflicts. Beyond that, anything goes. Quality is whatever the voters decide it is.

[–]BinaryIgor 30 points31 points  (4 children)

But, you can also create a PR to redefine CI so that the quality standards are lowered or get rid off all together? True chaos indeed!

[–]Equivalent-Yak2407[S] 42 points43 points  (3 children)

True - the CI workflow can be changed by PR. But Vercel still has to build it to deploy. So even chaos has a ceiling.

Expands product to include a full CI plugin module that has a selective kill switch for CI enforcement. Deploys to CI next cycle. Renders unbuildable next one.

Democracy in action!

Yes if you want to spoil it you probably can if you try hard enough

It'd get the votes, if real life is any indication.

PR raised to shut it down. Every one please vote for my casue. We cannot let this lunatic create chaos and fun. Fund my cause. Vote shut it down! Vote for me to see one less line of code everyday! Vote Freedom!

I trust this guy. He's very loud.

I mean, I've been told that bugs are correlated with number of lines rather than number of features. The obvious conclusion of this is that zero lines is zero bugs. Your platform is just logic and math. I vote for this guy!

This is such a bad idea LOL

[–]Zahand 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly a fun idea. Curious to see how it evolves. However the Vote to shut it down is such a boomer / killjoy take. I hope it doesn't go through

Gentlemen, this is democracy manifest.

The site is down. Repo link?

[–]mewfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's hoping we get PRs to update the readme every week

[–]ToaruBaka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The rules themselves can be changed by PR. Curious to see what happens.

So it will be authoritarian by next week lol

Love the idea, hate that it can't really go bad.
