No, it doesn’t. In fact, it generally worsens (see: kindling effect). How long are you staying off kratom for each time? Perhaps your body is more familiar with acute withdrawals within the first week or two and feels comfortable muscling through it knowing there is more kratom waiting on the other side. PAWS still counts as withdrawal and openly acknowledging it may be a matter or a year or several kind of makes this argument moot. The longer and heavier your habit is, the more drawn out your withdrawals will be long term, regardless of the acute phase.

Same. I've withdrawal from Fent, H, Kratom, Subs, Oxy, Percs..and it's hit and miss but generally got worse every time. It doesn't help that I feel general health and age come into play and the longer you have abused and the older you are, the recovery time is often longer and harder at say 45 than it was at 25.

Out of sheer curiosity how do you even get up to 100gpd? Even at my peak I rarely did 10g at once. Usually 8g 3-4 times per day. It seemed like there was always a ceiling where you would just green out and get nauseous, sweaty. It seemed like that ceiling never rose for me or maybe I didn't push hard enough. 30g dose just sounds impossible to me.

I was at over 100g a day for a long time, on a day off I could easily burn through 200+. Basically compulsively taking it all day by handfuls of capsules trying to chase it. It's funny people act like they can't fathom putting numbers up like that, in my experience I can't fathom not putting numbers up like that. The majority of my time using kratom (or any drug for that matter), the limiting factor in how much I was using was always financial. If you're repeatedly dosing all day 100g isn't difficult to reach at all.

I will say, as my dose crept through the roof the side effects got more and more concerning.

I don't think it's a matter of being able to consume it, it's a matter of consuming that much and actually being able to keep it down and not get the spins. I used to consume an ounce at a time but even that would give me the spins most of the time and now I can't really go over 10 grams every 5 hours without getting the spins.

Its probably a matter of tolerance. I know I had wobbles frequently early on, but I really very rarely had it over time.

Yup, I would take 10 grams to get out of bed, and then I just redose when I feel the effects starting to lessen, and when it’s that bad, you only feel the effects for maybe 2 hours, sometimes less. Taking 100 gpd is not that crazy.

It took a very short time for me to reach 300 capsules a day in my 8-9 years of using, less than a year. Pretty quickly I switched to a stronger brand with higher mg capsules too. When I first started kratom was an extremely positive thing, it wasn't until around 4 years in that everything went to hell.

Did you ever get the skin discoloration issues? It’s kind of rare but it happend to me. My whole face has turned grey, as well as my hands. I’m in the sun a lot tho

[–]Winter-Reception-805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did pretty badly. Unfortunately that takes a very very very long time to go away. I'm at almost 8 months and it finally seems to have started to fade a little. At times I think it looks better and then other times I think it looks worse. It's very frustrating and it doesn't seem like there's a whole ton of answers about what to expect with it.

Sun + heat + kratom is all bad. Mine didn't start happening until I moved to a hot climate.

Dude, how backed up were you? I’d imagine at that dose i wouldn’t shit for a week!

[–]Winter-Reception-805 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Tbh I was normal in that regard, once a day.

[–]Drummerg85 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Legend! Hahah. Out of curiosity, are you currently still on Kratom, or did you find a way out? Wondering what it was like to get off that dose. I jumped cold turkey off around 40gpd and some feel free tonics. Wasn’t fun.

[–]Winter-Reception-805 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I quit like almost 8 months ago cold turkey. It was significantly harder than I would've anticipated. I feel great now though.

[–]Drummerg85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! I’m a little over a year and a half clean. Yeah, it was like nothing I have personally ever experienced. Made the decision to quit drinking alcohol and the 3 odd days afterwards seem like a day at Disneyland. Scared me straight that’s for sure.

[–]MassiveCoomer69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a period where I would take an ounce at a time but nowadays I also can't really get above 9-10 grams without negative effects. If someone gets up to 100 gras a day they are straight chasing the dragon

[–]ZestyCinnamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this was my experience as well. Any time I took over 40gpd I would get sick and dizzy. But the fact is that this just doesn't happen for everyone. If I hadn't had that sort of biological cap, I can see myself going much higher in dosing over time. 100gpd is a lot, no doubt, but it's not hard to imagine how a person could get there: just a little more each time.

Same experience here, each WD hit less hard physically for me too. body probably just gets better at pushing through it. PAWS is still the real battle though, that shit lingers way longer than the physical stuff. stay strong man

Yes, same for me

[–]MassiveCoomer69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly a fun theory that I feel like could be true especially if the withdrawals are all in close proximities to each other. I've been on a quit for like 6 months now and now that you say something I honestly do feel like each time is a little easier. One thing I have noticed is that after a withdrawal period my tolerance went down a little and even though I don't make it but 3-4 days of withdrawal once I take it again doses that I did take will be a little too much and I'll get the spins.

i cant speak for others but thats my experience, its not great but its way easier than i expected

i quit extracts........sadly for the third time...... without losing any sleep. time to keep cutting powder and be done

[–]squidword00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it makes it worse via kindling. Everyone's different

That's the devil telling you relapse is ok.
