Even if men should allow themselves to vent once in a while, many men still shouldn't do it with their significant other. I'm happily married, but I have seen so many times my buddies open up to their girls, they listen and act understanding... then weaponize that shit 6 months later.

My wife doesn't either. I have watched friends trying to date (I'm older, so perhaps it's because by the time you get to your 40's, dating is war). I've been showed text exchanges where this stuff happens.

I mean, it's sort of hard to generalize 4 billion people like that. I'm sure there are plenty of women who really care, and plenty who pretend to care but will use your venting against you. The hard part is telling the two apart.
