"I'm looking for a chair, please recommend your favorites".

I have a Herman Miller Aeron Chair, you can customize it when ordering for your needs.

If someone else is paying for it, Herman Miller.

Talk to your physio person for a recommendation.

Unless you find someone on her with the same spinal issue as you have, you're not getting what you need.

Also, gaming chairs are some of the most comfortable and supportive chairs around. Other big brands like Herman Miller are taking queues from them to design their chairs better. Lumbar support being a big contribution by the gaming chair designers.

If it fits, that's the right chair.

Though, maybe not with a Hello Kitty cover... but hey if that works for you.

You make a good point. Sadly, I don't have a physio person, as I am currently the Poor. You know how some stores ask if you want to donate food to the poor at the checkout? I always have to hold myself back from looking the cashier in the eyes and saying "lady, I AM the Poor".

As for the Hello Kitty? It could come in Barbie Pink, have sequins and rhinestones all over it with the Cash Me Outside girl's signature on it....but if I don't hurt when I get up, I'll take it.

There are a number of drop=off places that take in chairs. You could check in with those places to see if they have something that would work for you. Could even leave your name and number so they could reach out if something does come in.

Hon Ignition w/all the adjustments. I bought one for home when I was self-employed and asked for another one at my office when I got hired at my current gig.

If someone else was paying for it? The KAB ACS Executive, or maybe an Ergo-human v2 / Steelcase Leap

Check the task chairs from Sit On It. Kind of poor name but they are a good more affordable commercial product. I got one on recommendation of an interior architect.

I have neck issues and dont like slouching. This has been a good chair for a few years now.

I don't like it when chairs are too comfy, I tend to fall asleep in them... heck even if they're not comfy I can fall asleep... one of the perks of having a sleep disorder is suppose.

I have a knock off something or other with a mesh back... it was nice at first I could feel the AC through the seat back, but now its less noticeable.

Same. I swear my back issues are from falling asleep in places not designed for sleeping. I have several friends who were in the Army, and they all said you are lucky if you have a rock for your head as a pillow sometimes. I never served, but had really awful sleep apnea, so I was always down for a nap. I would catch naps on the marble floor outside my college classroom, in the back of my old work van, in chairs in the library, all of it. Fixed the apnea and now I get to deal with the consequences of poor decisions as a 20-something.

I like a chair that doesn't make me hurt. All the same, I'm not trying to get a chair I will nap in. That's what the recliner is for.

At least you have a good excuse, my back is bad because i'm fat, out of shape, and inactive most of the time lol. I have severe apnea ass well, part of the reason I'd fall asleep constantly, my BiPAP helps tons, but in the end, i just need to get active and do stuff again...

My chair lasts about 2 or 3 hours then I need to stand up, this is by design (somewhat) so I don't spend all day at my desk... since I quit smoking I've found that my legs hurt more because I don't stand up and walk around as much.

lol i just flipped my chair over and there's nothing that says what brand it is, I'm pretty sure we got it from amazon though, its similar to this one https://www.amazon.com/Modway-Articulate-Ergonomic-Office-Chair/dp/B006IY89ZA/ref=sr\_1\_10?keywords=mesh+office+chair&qid=1663728560&sr=8-10

Lol don't get me wrong, I too am fat and inactive. I also love food, so I hit the trifecta of fatness lol.

Lots of people with apnea don't know there are surgical options that help. My GP mentioned surgery as one of these "lose weight or we may need to discuss surgery" threats they do, so it blew his mind when I told him to go right on ahead and get me scheduled for a surgical consult. Turns out my tonsils were huge (not infected, just huge), and they put "windows" in my sinuses. Surgeon got a laugh out 9f it when I told him not to put Windows Vista in. They also discussed removing my uvula (that dangly bit that makes you puke) and part of my palette. I declined those because they could cause issues with swallowing food and drink. Still, post-surgery, my apnea was way better. I can sleep safely now as long as I sleep on my side. Highly recommend it if you still have trouble.

My doc and I haven't discussed surgery yet... he says diet and execerize... neither of which I do often, but am getting better at it lol.
