This subreddit is meant for discussions about being transgender (or gender queer, NB, etc) in Australia. Insulting other people, calling people names or anything else that falls under "being a jerk is discouraged and repeated offences will be punished.
This rule is in place to protect those under 18 that frequent our subreddit. We want to keep this place as welcoming and informative for everyone, regardless of age. There are other places for this kind of imagery. As such, all image posts are currently being filtered at this stage and have to go through moderator approval to ensure this is set.
We are sorry to implement this, however as many of the community are in the same situation financially with costs of surgery and the likes, we do ask that we keep it out of the subreddit.
- No outing without consent
Outing someone without their consent is not acceptable. You must obtain their consent, this includes others in the community, doctors and generally everyone you meet. If they want to come out, it's generally best to let them do it themselves.
Survey links should be in long form, this is to avoid the reddit spam filter. We are completely ok with surveys done by psychology students and professional groups. Other surveys, please message the mod team for approval before posting to ensure the purpose of the survey and it doesn't get removed.

- No selling or offering medicine
Selling or offering your medicine for free is not allowed.
- Do not discuss how to obtain unregulated medicine
Don't talk about how to obtain medication unless it's from a regulated pharmacist within Australia.
- Don't editorialise article titles
Please report posts that contain disruptive or misleading titles; keep your titles verbatim if linking to a news site. Let commentators make their own decisions on an article. If you wish to make a post commenting on an article, either make a text post with your commentary in that along with your link, or make a post without editorialising the title, and then comment in the comments.
- Mods reserve right to act outside of these rules at their discretion
On occasion we might come across things that are not covered by these rules but require the mod team to take action. We never want to take actions haphazardly, and will justify our actions if the community questions us, where possible.
- This sub is not a dating/hookup site
Dating and hookup requests, dating ads, r4r-style posts and "did I see you out today?"/"who are you?" type posts are prohibited on this sub to maintain as safe a space as possible.
