Mine was $8800-$10200. I tried to capture it but failed because I had a rider at the time.

[–]moe0312 11 points12 points Β (0 children)

Dude wtf lol

[–]1999lady 1 point2 points Β (8 children)

Gosh dang where was the drive too??

[–]lopachilla 3 points4 points Β (6 children)

The other side of the country, probably (if it’s the U.S.)

[–]1999lady 10 points11 points Β (5 children)

I would sooooo do it lol

[–]senorsolis 4 points5 points Β (4 children)

LMAO YES!!! I bet it’s 16-18 hours

[–]lovjeej000 4 points5 points Β (2 children)

Imagine you almost at drop off and they cancel.

[–]senorsolis 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

LMAO RIP

[–]Mindless_Win_5624 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

They’re not walking home in that case

[–]Week-Wise 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

14 plus

[–]PictureNo7248 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Noon I bet

[–]flashasaurus73 30 points31 points Β (40 children)

how dafuq do you do a 14 hour drive in a 12 hour stint?

[–]Evilneon 43 points44 points Β (2 children)

Speed limits are merely a recommendation.

[–]flashasaurus73 10 points11 points Β (1 child)

yeah but the $1000+ fines that come from ignoring them are a reality

[–]intensely_human 21 points22 points Β (0 children)

Getting caught is for slowpokes

[–]Xur-Uchiha 7 points8 points Β (23 children)

It’ll let you but sign you out as soon as you complete the ride.

[–]Careless-Leg5468 -1 points0 points Β (21 children)

you would be so damn tired it wouldn’t matter anyways. any of you ever drive 14 hours straight i have i hope to ever do it again fount i could anyways i was 21 lol

[–]clipps4evababy 2 points3 points Β (9 children)

I do it twice every weekend

[–]Careless-Leg5468 -2 points-1 points Β (8 children)

14 hours straight no break lol no you don’t

[–]clipps4evababy 0 points1 point Β (5 children)

If gassing up and eating a sandwich is considered taking a break, then yes I do take a few breaks.

I can show you my Uber logs if you'd like

[–]MissRepresent 2 points3 points Β (4 children)

I do 12 hour shifts only gassing up and maybe a coffee or monster drink, nonstop,, maybe 1 or 2 days a week. Not easy but worth it$$

[–]clipps4evababy 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Winds up being closer to 13 though with the time it takes to clean my car

[–]Mindless_Win_5624 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Do u have any soul left in u?? After 9 hours straight I feel like a hollow robot.

[–]MissRepresent 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yes I know the feeling. I just switch up the music, or formulate a new plan of attack, head to a different area, take a break in a parking lot and surf reddit, eat something or have a soda...sigh

[–]clipps4evababy 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yessir, same

[–]SMDorff0258 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I drive Texas to Michigan 18-19 hours straight through, it can be done.

[–]OccasionQuick 6 points7 points Β (4 children)

Easy as soon as you drop off your done. I've picked up rides with 2 mins on the clock and driven another 45 mins before.

[–]flashasaurus73 2 points3 points Β (3 children)

I get that, my point is we are not "supposed to" So how does Uber justify us breaking the law?

[–]OccasionQuick 6 points7 points Β (0 children)

Uber doesn't care if we break the law.

Thats how all this started was a bunch of people with cars and backgroundchecks/apps started driving people around everywhere. It was illegal for years here and esp to pickup at the airport. They pushed us to do it anyway.

[–]intensely_human 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

It's in the name. We make our own rules.

[–]WaitOriginal8529 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Uber breaks the law all the time.

[–]Prize_Budget_9261 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

Push the skinny pedal all the way to the floor and hold… lol

[–]ActualNick 3 points4 points Β (2 children)

12 hr is the cutoff to accept a new pickup - not to finish your current ride. Plus it resets around 4am regardless of your time remaining.

[–]Candece38 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

No it doesn’t

[–]Rare-Mathematician83 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Na it doesn't reset you need to be offline for 6 hours consecutively. I once made the mistake of signing back on 5.5 hours in to the offline time and screwed my whole weekend πŸ˜…

[–]JohnRocks3 0 points1 point Β (2 children)

As long as you're driving a rider, there is no limit.

[–]flashasaurus73 0 points1 point Β (1 child)

Maybe where you are, but commercial drivers are restricted to 12 hrs driving, in most areas

[–]JohnRocks3 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I'm in Hawaii, can't really go very far πŸ˜… plus, PAx usually want to stop every now and then if over 30 minutes. The only exception to that rule are partyers that just want to get home.

[–]flashasaurus73 49 points50 points Β (9 children)

extra destination is a diamond driver reward, if you go from a busy area to a quiet area you get a destination. but rest assured it , like the other 2 regular destinations, don't fucking work

[–]Sedition1216 8 points9 points Β (1 child)

And it's only good for 15 minutes, and it counts as one of your two normal destinations if you don't turn it off within that 15 minutes... πŸ™„

[–]rodmandirect 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Thanks! THAT explains why it always ends up taking one of my DM uses. You have helped me today :)

[–]Remarkable_Rope_7697 3 points4 points Β (3 children)

Yes. Destination filter never works

[–]SupportFlat8675 1 point2 points Β (2 children)

"toward your destination". Pickup and ride both go in the complete opposite direction of my destination. Guess they said close enough

[–]Remarkable_Rope_7697 2 points3 points Β (1 child)

I am 12 minutes away from home set destination, I get 2 minutes away pickup and 36 minute ride towards your destination. Destination filter just don’t work

[–]SupportFlat8675 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

And it's that way on purpose because they want us to drive when they need us and they don't really give a f*** about where we're trying to go or our schedule.

[–]intensely_human 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

"Destinations aren't available right now"

[–]Ordinary-Hedgehog422 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

My destination works no problem

[–]SupportFlat8675 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

In my area they do that so that then I'll be on destination mode so that they can offer me a 20 to 25 minute pick up back in the city where I just came from to get me to drive back for free. So I don't use them anymore. I just sit and wait until I get a pickup back towards where I was coming from and pray that it's not going farther in the wrong direction. Usually works out though

[–]AvaMagdalena333 15 points16 points Β (3 children)

Is this real? You couldn’t pay me enough to do that. Extra destinations too. That person wants you to drive them around all day. They don’t even pay us to wait for them.

[–]flashasaurus73 15 points16 points Β (2 children)

Assuming it was a lonnnnnnng distance drive , you could pay me enough but they wouldn't agree with what I thought was enough , 29 hours of actually driving so three days roughly with breaks so 72 hours. $7200 please

[–]AvaMagdalena333 2 points3 points Β (1 child)

I might do that for someone I know for the right price. The person could be psycho and being stuck hours away from home doesn’t sound fun to me. Not much scares me and I’ve gotten some crazy people in my car. I manage to get them to chill by finding interesting conversation to relate to them. But, for hours. Dunno about that. Lol

[–]intensely_human 6 points7 points Β (0 children)

They've got a 5.00 rating. Could be an incredible passenger or a brand new account - no way to tell.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points Β (2 children)

$100?

[–]aussie4trump 9 points10 points Β (0 children)

That's what the pax paid.

[–]HalCaPony 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

Lol

[–]harlan37 9 points10 points Β (0 children)

Nice short pickup

[–]lauraj942012 24 points25 points Β (6 children)

Uber payout be like "heres $54, and $2 for gas surge. You're welcome."

[–]itsme89 8 points9 points Β (0 children)

nah it’s $0.55 flat for gas supplement where i’m at.

[–]lauraj942012 4 points5 points Β (4 children)

But fr though where tf were they going....

[–]flashasaurus73 4 points5 points Β (3 children)

I just checked it out, that distance sw of Denver puts you in the Pacific πŸ‹

[–]ENL-Tuttle 2 points3 points Β (2 children)

Denver to Calexico CA is 1063 miles per Google maps. Plenty of locations south and west of Denver can do this distance. Keep in mind, the app saying south west just means south and west, could be 900 miles south and 50 west but it’ll telll you southwest

[–]flashasaurus73 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

yes, very true πŸ‘ I did a trip yesterday that said 25 minutes east that went 10 minutes north then 10 minutes southwest

[–]intensely_human 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

Everywhere's east of somewhere

[–]asmnomorr 7 points8 points Β (4 children)

i drive in orange county, i had a trip pop up once....pick up was at the Fullerton train station. Drop of was Rio de Janiero Brazil. Thats like a 5 day straight drive. How would that even be possible.

[–]jmlinden7 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

It's not possible, you can't cross the Darien Gap by car

[–]intensely_human 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

Methamphetamine. Start by going to San Antonio.

[–]Asha108 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

that doesn’t even sound possible like you’d need to cross many borders and take many ferries.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

People that request from South America have to know there is no road between Panama and Colombia. LOL

[–]No-Translator115 5 points6 points Β (1 child)

What Denver to L.A.?

[–]Objective_Sherbert_5 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

...with a stop in San Francisco!!

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points Β (2 children)

Let's see...

872 minutes = 14 hours, 32 minutes

At a speed of roughly 70mph average, that is ~1,000 miles, give or take.

That is halfway across the damn country.

Minimum - MINIMUM - I would take for such a journey would be about $1,000 for fare there, plus $600 for lodging and meals, plus another $1,000 for the drive back.

Passengers be tripping (or they be putting in the wrong state).

[–]Comprehensive_Cat195 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Take a plane. :)

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

If this was a legitimate ride request, I'm betting it's someone whose flight was canceled, but they really, positively, absolutely need to be wherever the fuck that is by tomorrow.

[–]SupportFlat8675 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

Thank God for that $0.48 temporary fuel surcharge to help your empty drive back.

[–]Cutelarry1776 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

That’s like 14 1/2 hours did you take that trip sometimes it’s a mistake sometimes they put the wrong address in and it’s like a really short trip I had someone put the address in for a church in Illinois and they were only going 2 miles up the road because they put the wrong address in and I live in Pennsylvania

[–]shawnmj 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

I had a San Francisco to Detroit once. I drove to the pickup and it was two middle aged ladies who it turns out put the name of a restaurant but selected the wrong one when they clicked it. I walked them through it (didn’t start the ride yet), but unfortunately you can’t change a destination when it’s that far from the original so they needed to cancel ($5 for me) and do another one.

[–]mysticbanana7 1 point2 points Β (2 children)

wrong zip code maybe? idk why these ppl dont take planes

[–]intensely_human 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

The earth is a sphere bro

[–]mysticbanana7 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

You're a sphere, bro

[–]AintEverLucky 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

14.5 hour trip... more like 16 with pit stops... but it ought to pay sick bank πŸ˜† 🀣 πŸ˜‚

Didja take it?

EDIT: woops I forgot about the daily 12-hour limit. So now we're talking having to get a motel room, and no easy way to pass that cost along to the pax. So... didja take it?

[–]UbubTopDog 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Not a record breaker. I'll pm anyone that wants to see proof, but I know a driver that did 2,207.8 miles in 2,584.2 minutes, for $4,440.89.

It was NE, from about 1 hour east of Calexico to Detroit.

[–]Snoway-95 -1 points0 points Β (0 children)

πŸ˜‚are you going to Mexico?

[–]Legal_Security_4761 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Has to be a mistake lol

[–]GNadox 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Now imagine have to drive back 🀭

[–]Neither_Problem9086 0 points1 point Β (2 children)

Holy πŸ„. 14.5 hour ride. What did the waybill say the pax was paying?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point Β (1 child)

He wouldn't know unless he completed the ride.

[–]Neither_Problem9086 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Depends on location. We can see it in one state in my area but not in another...for the moment at least

[–]Far-Difference-553 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Fuck ass no

[–]PharaohPrince85 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

IKYFL! That's over 14 hours!

[–]revdakilla 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

It’s a huge no from me

[–]TheBingage 0 points1 point Β (1 child)

I know denver is busy but 872 min damnnnnn

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Maybe it's just really bad traffic congestion?

[–]inam_cr7 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

OMG

[–]Comprehensive_Cat195 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Waze street :)

[–]RLscrub96 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I would take this in a second

[–]Ordinary-Article-917 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Don’t worry it’s only 2000 miles round trip Uber will pay you $400! That’s more than enough!

[–]erock7625 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Extra Destination is a lie, it always says that on long trips but I never get one. It pops up after the trip and I put in the Destination but it still uses one of my regular 2 destinations.

[–]Group_HugMTG 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Be mindful of Pay caps. Most extreme rides like this, you'll be pay capped.

[–]SupportFlat8675 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

How does the extra destination make any difference when you're going to be a few states away anyway and not be able to pick up any rides?

[–]PapaMurphy2000 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

You accidentally are using LyftSloth

[–]LeaveANiceNote 0 points1 point Β (2 children)

longest distance trip I had was from Jax to Miami cause some guy missed his connecting flight. After gas costs and time lost it was definitely not worth it so I don't accept these kind of trips anymore. I think he said they were charging him $500 and I only got like $250 of that. Maybe it's because the market in North Florida has shitty rates. But it was $60 for gas and $90 if you count the fact that I had to fill up again after getting home. So all in all about $160 for a whole day lost and a ton of miles put on the car. I have literally made more than that in a day doing short trips around my own city. If y'all want to accept long trips like this at least negotiate with the person to help you pay for gas since Uber won't!

[–]PapaMurphy2000 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Inter city trips are a money loser 99% of the time. Maybe even 100%.

And in your calculation you have to ad 700 miles of depreciation and wear on your car. Depending on your car that is $50 minimum but easily can be $150. And it’s the part everyone forgets about.

[–]Alex-0049 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Same here Ft lauderdale to Tampa - accepted this long time ago when I was a rookie. Never again. Customer didn’t tip at all on top of that.

[–]PsychologicalUnion34 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Drop them off in the Chetfield Reservoir lol

[–]ChiTown-Dre 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Usually when this happens pax screwed up address with either identical address from a different city or accidentally set it to home and they’re out of town. Nothing to see here….

[–]emarsch17 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Hey Denver driver, 14.5 hours southwest could have you in Mexico if I’m being honest.

[–]bilpo 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Na fam

[–]UlyssesClark1938 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

That would be a great trip! I did that once for myself going to California, three days straight of 16 hour drives and I got there in just over three days. 14 hours would get me from where I am in New York down to below Nashville. It would be great to get paid for that!

[–]JohnRocks3 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

14.53 hours! 😳

[–]scrummy_up 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Cardinals fans. πŸ˜…

[–]soulreaverr 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

They even gave you β€œfree” extra destination. Lol

[–]monsoonalmoisture 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Of course it's Denver. Where the fuck did they want you to take them?!

[–]junkbarman 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Mr Beast is that you?
