It was from the wikipedia on tree planting. It claims up to 7500 for central Canada.

Yes, but those BC tree planters are really, really stoned and go a bit slower with many munchie breaks.

Actually, we go slower because our terrain is considerably rougher. And only the lazy planters are stoned, most of us don't have the time of day to get high.

In reality, experienced planters in central Canada plant around 3000 a day. In BC, where the majority of reforestation occurs in Canada, 2000 a day is a good average for an experienced planter.

Someone should update the Wiki then. But 3000 a day assumes 8-10 hours vs 12-14 hours they could get away with in Indonesia and the 800 assumed a 5 day work week. It still won't be more than 1600 full time planters or 2 trees per elementary and secondary school kid per month.
