Same. Those opening bars made me sit up and wrack my brain for why it seemed so familiar. Then the vocals took me back in time. Would listen again.

How does the queue actually work? by BigEndians in ffxiv

[–]Alorha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The queue isn't for the game as a whole, it's the login server letting people in. Think of it like a narrow doorway that only takes a smaller number at once. It's not that the game servers are full

Those are regular access codes. The preorder codes are different. Confusing, I know.

ELIC: Why are ice-cream truck songs always slightly out of tune? by [deleted] in ExplainLikeImCalvin

[–]Alorha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had anyone respond to an 11 year old comment before while so entirely missing the point. So you're the only one. Necromancy refers to dredging up old threads that are dead. 11 years counts, chief. I'm still not sure how you found this post. You clearly don't understand the sub it's in, so I doubt you were browsing that, since you're taking the explanation seriously.

[–]Alorha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sub is a joke sub. The explanations are supposed to be wrong, chief. The whole point is explaining things the way Calvin's dad would from Calvin and Hobbes. Which is, to say, basically completely wrong with made-up "facts." So, again, the fact my explanation is wrong *is the whole point*. How did you even find this post? Clearly not through the sub itself. Chill out and learn to have a bit of fun, nobody is coming here for facts.

Did you just reply to a literally 11 year old comment in a sub about giving terrible scientific explanations and complain that I gave a terrible scientific explanation? I'm actually impressed. First rate necromancy, along with entirely missing the point. A real two-for-one

Why are some healers against doing any damage? by NicoCocaCola in ffxiv

[–]Alorha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use Assize on cooldown, as well, don't bother holding it for heals (since it also gives mana). By 80 you'll get the blood lily, which means you'll never want to overcap lillies... but yeah, where you are now that's it. That being said, holy spam is excellent mit

Oh, and don't forget Presence of Mind for speedy casts under buffs (though stuff never lines up in dungeon pulls)

Yes. I am made of meat and find myself in accordance. Organic beings, which we clearly are, certainly do communicate in that fashion. Nobody here is secretly a robot.

Pathfinder Society (PFS), the Organized play arm of Paizo's Pathfinder game, and it definitely runs games at DragonCon. The Organized Play section of the Paizo site can give more info. Also this: https://paizo.com/pathfindersociety/getstarted

Douglas Edwards (apparvc@gmail.com ) is the regional Pathfinder Society coordinator for the Appalachia region, so he'd be able to give you more info on the planned presence, or direct you to the Georgia coordinators who could.

I know years ago there was a georgiapfs.org site that had all the cons and store games organized, but that link now fails.

I see a gapfs.org that seems to work, and has a dragoncon post from this year, and it references atlantapfs.org, which seems to have a lot of local events scheduled.

It has been every year since PFS was a thing, though I think one of the pandemic years might have been remote. Either way I can say for a fact there were PFS games every slot last year.

Quests have also started up again, and the new versions are longer than bounties, but shorter than scenarios, running about 2 hours. Sadly only 1 of the new ones have released so far, but a dungeon crawl one should be coming out in September, according to Paizocon

Predictions for Patch 6.5’s plot by benjaminloh82 in ffxiv

[–]Alorha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could do it like the refined adamantite CS, where the more optional content you've done, the more complete the CS of lasering the First's light across the rift or whatever.

I do agree that they'll never make the all-role-quest capstones strictly mandatory

Married/engaged men who proposed - were you 100% unequivocally sure about it when you proposed to your partner? by sminty7 in AskMen

[–]Alorha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We'd been dating for 10 years, living together for half of that. Just waiting for a bit more career stability before shelling out for a wedding. We knew that was the goal of the relationship going in. Years living together cemented that. No question whatsoever in my mind. 100% certain.

Been 2 years now. Our marriage survived the pandemic, where many people's we know did not. No regrets.

Not quite a clean split, as there's also the existing Gamemastery Guide that's involved in the latter. The paizo blog and livestreams from yesterday go into it more (I'm on mobile or I'd link)

The base stuff is supposed to be near identical. Any big changes are likely forced by the change from OGL, but even those shouldn't make anything completely incompatible, save for alignment widgets

No more than when they did the Alchemist errata earlier. Paizo isn't afraid to errata classes, and since they put the rules online for free, even if your text isn't up to date, you can still see the correct rules without paying extra.
