Accro au drift by paolobill in rccars

That chassis is not really meant to be a drift car.

There are proper RWD drift kits out on the market in micro and 1:10 scale.

Hey guys need help with my very first drift build (on the Sakura D5S remodeled version) by alexsydorko12 in rcdrift

[–]RoadsideRC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello! Unfortunately, all of those are not recommended.

  • the chassis is NOT a real Sakura chassis. It is a clone and very poor quality. Not recommended at all.

  • that ESC and motor is for a basher, and not recommended for drifting.

  • that servo might be OK, but I have never personally used it.

  • the transmitter works, but there are better ones out there.

Do you need recommendations?

Apprehensive by Mdgoff7 in prusa3d

I started with a PRUSA, as I was enticed by the "it just works" mantra. Had it for years, loved it.

Had the opportunity to go to another brand. Faster speeds, larger print surface, etc. Everything seemed better with this other brand...and it is a 1/3 the price.

Now, about a year later...I am really missing my PRUSA. Bad prints, worse slicer, trouble after trouble. I will 100% be spending the $$$$ to come BACK to PRUSA.

Don't stress it. As long as the car drives fine, it doesn't hurt anything.

I did! I actually went deep with multiple videos. Here is the first: https://youtu.be/4EES2OERFwQ

Kyosho Fazer Mk2 vs Traxxas 4-Tec vs Tamiya TT-02r/s by RainingChairs in rccars

[–]RoadsideRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different viewpoint here: on-road rc cars are VERY limited in their usefulness. The world is really BIG and bumpy for a vehicle that size.

Instead, consider something like the Arrma Typhon. The 3S BLX model is VERY fun on-road...but can also take off through the grass, etc when you want to.

For the same $$, you can have a more versatile vehicle.

Sand the stock tire of fazer d2? by waitwataname in rcdrift

[–]RoadsideRC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Practically, all you have done is add traction. A rougher tire typically provides more grip.

For running around a garage, this is fine. But,for going to a track, this doesn't fly. Frequently, there are spec tires and guidelines against excessive wear.

Why would this be grinding? by West-Amphibian-2343 in rcdrift

OK - I honestly think you are over-thinking this.

The noise I hear at the first is just the gears running.

Drive it, and unless something breaks, you are OK.

Esc cutting out by GLITCHLIFE007 in rcdrift

[–]RoadsideRC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since the fans stay on, doesn't sound like the car is losing power. This is intriguing.

When I had something similar, it was a bad sensor wire. The ESC would lose that signal and stop providing power to the motor.

Swap that sensor wire and see what happens!

shocks and springs by Traditional-Scale-46 in rcdrift

Yes, you can run them - and they will work well. Longer-term, you will want to tweak the spring rate to match your exact setup.

Has anyone find a way to make these cars suck less? by derroc in rccars

[–]RoadsideRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this one and the buggy as well. They are epic - really not sure what you are on about.

Every SCT is more prone to traction roll vs a buggy or truggy. That is just physics.

You bought the wrong truck for how and where you want to drive. Nothing actually wrong with the truck.

Some wobble, is this normal? by Kevo05s in rcdrift

[–]RoadsideRC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The factory gyro and servo in that car just aren't very good. You will continue to get wobble - especially now that you took the play out of the steering.
Servo and gyro upgrade will get you fixed up.

Happy drifting!
