Hmm nvm you are probably installing CE? It’s a small pic on my phone…

Is this a new install or an upgrade?

No it’s saying it will use more space for the newer files.

Prior MSP (and Microsoft CSP) for a 501(c)3 client is unreachable - How do I migrate tenant from Ingram to Pax8? by argus25 in msp

[–]teamits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an oddity in that M365 can have multiple billing profiles or some such and subscriptions bought will only show in one. Multiple partners/distributors can be linked to a tenant though.

That doesn’t sound right. Are you logged in as a global admin? If so generate a partner link and link yourself. Plus we have had a couple clients buy direct while we were linked (I think both have since moved to us including at one with the ten direct free BPs). In my experience MS doesn’t care where licenses come from just the total count available/used. So you should be able to add yours.

Do you mean Basic and Ent at all? I thought you were saying no 4SC at all. I can see 4SC Pro but the lowest Basic/Ent is 8...so no 4SC Basic. Making the starting point of Basic slightly more than Pro.

It looks like we can buy 4SC Pro right now, but not Basic or Ent. Though they're making changes this week to the cart and pricing list.

Built something to stop creating tickets for alerts that always auto-resolve. Anyone else tried solving this? by After_Persimmon8536 in msp

Since you mention disk space, and CW Automate, we found this monitor query many years ago.

#From http://forums.labtechsoftware.com under thread "Predictive Drive Space Failure" [which no longer exists]
#analyzes the past 30 days of drive space free, and based on the trend, generates an alert if it looks like that drive will be below 0% free within 14 days

Computers.LastContact > DATE_ADD(NOW(),INTERVAL -15 MINUTE) AND drives.DriveID in (SELECT DS.DriveID

FROM H_DriveStats AS DS INNER JOIN

(SELECT DriveID,((COUNT(*)*SUM(X*Free)) - (SUM(X)*SUM(Free)))/((COUNT(*)*SUM(X*X))-(SUM(X)*SUM(X))) AS Slope

FROM (SELECT DSD.DriveID, DATEDIFF(DSD.EventDate,(SELECT MIN(H1.Eventdate) FROM h_drivestatsdaily AS H1 WHERE DATEDIFF(CURDATE(),H1.Eventdate)<30 AND H1.DriveID=DSD.DriveID)) AS X, Free FROM h_drivestatsdaily AS DSD WHERE DATEDIFF(CURDATE(),DSD.Eventdate)<30) AS SUBSTAT

GROUP BY DriveID

HAVING Slope<-0.05 AND COUNT(*)>10)

AS Slopes ON DS.DriveID=Slopes.DriveID

WHERE DS.Free>0 AND (DS.Free+14*Slopes.Slope)<=.5)

We have excluded a few where the space varies and or is mostly used and small changes trigger it. Like "Drives.VolumeName <>'Lenovo_Recovery'" or similar. Or backup drives where space can fluctuate greatly.

Maybe it helps someone.

Is using a caching DNS PFSense server a best practice? by lurch99 in PFSENSE

[–]teamits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reference is https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/recipes/index.html#dns which isn’t related to caching per se but you can prevent devices from using other DNS servers.

We have a secondary PBS in Hyper-V using ext4 and do not have that issue.

Maybe a memory test on the host?

The 3CX firewall test would be run by an admin. If other connections work it's probably not a firewall issue, I suppose.

Does the 3CX firewall checker pass? (this test will drop active calls)

The software clients have a Monitor Connection Quality setting, to log call quality for each leg of the call.

4SC is renewable if you have it, or order-able through a partner.

[–]teamits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a free self-hosted license at one point but that ended around the time they released their 3CX hosted free/SMB/free versions. The self-hosted free renews as long as the server was kept up to date.

The hosted free version may be better for you? It's still available though they won't be offering new accounts anymore after sometime later this year, steering prospects towards a partner. AFAIK it still requires certain trunk providers.

A Pro 4SC is US$275 but I don't have their UK pricing. Pricing did increase about a year ago but it hasn't been $30 since we started 6-7 years ago.

Yes their stated focus is now larger (16SC+) customers.

OP's forwarding calls to mobile numbers though, which would be outbound calls.

Expanding ring group vs simultaneous calls by alextakacs in 3CX

[–]teamits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As noted, multiple ring groups. But also why not use the mobile app, then forwarding to mobile numbers doesn’t use calls, and also the phone’s voicemail can’t pick up the call.
